How to train for a special ability ?

    Hi all,

I wanted to teach my young goal keeper the special ability "defensive duel" (sorry if it's not the exact name of it, but my game is not in english.)

Since then, no training session allowed me to put any point in it... So I stop the training of this ability so that he could train normally again...

But what should I do to get some special ability points ? Full very specific goal keeper training ? Or Various training (defensive/offensive/physical) ? Anything else ?

None of these training were able to help... After one day and around 10 training sessions, I still have 50 points to get...

    Any suggestions?

    Florian

Your GK seems to be a very slow trainer. This means that his progress will be very slow. It is not advised to train such players for new positions or a special ability, as this would be a waste of effort, time and probably money.

By the way, the GK special abilities (one-on-one and penalty stopper) appear to be useless in this game.

    Ok thanks for your reply!

It's weird as this player is one of the best and youngest player in my team, so I thought he could learn very well. (He is 19 and having an orange star). He is not one of the most expensive player in my team though.

Is there any tip to find whether a player is a slow or fast trainer ?

In the lower levels, the market value to wage ratio usually indicates how good a player will likely to progress in training. A high ratio usually indicates that the player will progress fast.

    Got it! Thanks.

For information, this player has indeed a low ratio.

    Value: 41.9M
    Wage: 3.04M
So the ratio is around 13.7

Most of my players with more or less same value have a lower wage, and most of the players with the same wage have a higher value.

    Thanks for the explanation!
