Nice GK skills.
Here's mine.

Here's mine, 618 games and still going strong. 3 clean sheets in 6 games so far this season.

Bought last season for one token
I like them old goal keepers.. Seems like the form is consistent, you can count on them.

one-on-one is better than penalty stopper....cause one-on-one skill also appear in penalty if he save the penalty...(well...but normally, you won't see one-on-one skill appear in normal time...)
In 2015, I have mentioned here on this forum that a penalty is a one-on-one situation, and hence, the special ability should be useful, and also it should be better than the penalty stopper/taker special ability because logically the penalty stopper/taker special ability is expected to be useful in only the situation of penalties while the one-on-one stopper/scorer is expected to be useful in open play situations in addition to the penalty situations. But, one or more users started to make jokes out of it or make fun. This was when there were only comments as match highlights. Now, with the new browser version, it can be seen more clearly that I was right. Maybe I should look for this thread and take some images of the nonsenses posted in reply what I said there at that time, and post them here just to show you how some forum users are.
It is expected that the one-on-one scorer to be useful too when an appropriate player takes a penalty.
About some special abilities not appearing where they are logically expected to do so, I think that there are flaws in this game and also Nordeus missed important things concerning some of the special abilities.
By the way, based on your experience only, what do you think about special abilities in general? Are they useful or are they just a visual thing as said by some users here. In my opinion, some are useful, but most of the time they are not worth the cost and effort (that is, not worth training a player to have one, unless in the case where you can earn a lot of 'free' green packs). In other words, it is better to use the 40-50 skill points for boosting the players overall quality. Concerning GKs only, I think they are even less worth it. I have had 6-7 stars GKs with the one-on-one special ability, and so far I can say that it did not appear to be significantly useful at all. It is very likely that Nordeus missed some important things concerning GKs in this game.
Below is an image of the composition of my team on day 28 of the last season that I played in 2015 before I quit. As you can see, I have some experiences with special abilities in this game. Also, notice the three GKs; all had the one-on-one stopper special ability, but the last in the list was a big failure (even in the previous season albeit he was 7 stars in that particular season). I think there is something else that affect players individually in this game (some called it internal programming, some called it percentage efficiency, and so on). I think that this applies to special abilities too, which explain why some seem to provided something extra and some not despite being the same special abilities. So don't waste your time and money training for special abilities. If the player is in fact 'bad' despite that he has what appears to be visual superiority (stars), adding a special ability to him won't make him much better (maybe not even slightly better). If a player originally comes with the special ability (that is when it was created or when it was put on the market), then just consider it as bonus that might or might not work or be useful. I would also like to say something to all the users that have seen this post here: do not try to imitate that squad that is shown below or some of the other superior squads that you might see on this forum. It is more likely to be a waste of money and time, unless you can earn a lot free tokens or packs; I have used money to buy tokens to build such a squad as shown below, and so I know what I am talking about. Don't get trapped or fall into temptation.

Very nice story Tactician¡¡¡ But the goalkeeper who i got for 2 tokens (Petros Sofroniou) really bad...gets 5.8 literally every game and i lost all the games too¡¡¡¡ Should i sell him or give him a chance sometimes?
Sell him. I'd to sell my first choice 2 seasons ago for a new keeper after a horrible first 3 league games and the Cup too (DL Cup, LWL League). It saved my season, earning a decent 2nd place. That's the problem with keepers and the defence; a few bad games can cost the season.
Have a look at the statistics for the past matches that he played. If you see that he is not contributing enough, that is not enough saves, and also he is conceding easy goals (seen from 2D Highlights), sell him without hesitation. GKs are generally bad in this game; it is difficult to get a very good, consistent GK. Even GKs from the scout's list and recommendations' list fail to perform according to their displayed quality; some even perform very badly. If you think that he has the necessary attributes, you can give him some time, but do not use him in important matches as this might be costly. But for sure do not make him train for any of the two GK's special abilities; that will be a waste of time, effort and green packs.
I have noticed that some older GKs do perform better too (and are more consistent). But some, 'old' or not, have still performed badly. In my opinion, it is all about the 'internal' hidden thing(s) that regulate(s) how good a player actually is and how good he will be in a particular season.
Well, only 4 saves from 13 shots......Attachment 66456 Lost the game too!!! the rating in that game was 5
Should i get this goalkeeper for 59 tokens? got 116 tokens.Attachment 66458

My newly bought GK I was so lucky it only cost me 1 Token today :)

Jeppesen my loyal GK been through many matches and didnt let me down :D
No. You will surely be disappointed. The last GK found on the image of the squad list that I have posted was bought from the scouts' list (23 years old, close to 7 stars, one-on-one stopper special ability). He was very poor relative to his quality; lots of ratings of 6. He even passed back to the ball to an opposing attacker once in a Cup match and the attacker scored. Hahahaha. My team got knocked out of the Cup partly because of him and also lost the a C.L final partly because of him. It was as if he was completely absent in some matches.

Here is an image of most of the ratings for the C.L final. As you can see he got a 6, and he conceded the only goal of the match. Going by the ratings, the defenders did their job, but not the GK.

In the next season, I bought another GK, but this time from the auction market.

This one was better than the one mentioned earlier. He was more present in matches.
Given that you have a decent amount of tokens, buy a few 5 star, 'old' (26-28 years old) GKs from the market (say 3, unless your squad has already more than 19 players), and try them one by one for say 3-5 matches each (you can test them in friendly matches too, but the opponent has to have some good attackers to test the GK). You will more likely be able to get a good one this way. Then, discard the bad one(s), but keep the second best as reserve. And no need to train the GKs for the special abilities. If he came with one, it is a bonus, but if he did not came with one, then no need to add one. If the GK is good ('internally'), he will perform well, even without any special ability.
I agree with that strategy. I stopped spending much T for GK some seasons now (scout/recommended/nordgen power training).Quote:

Ofcousre if I can find a GK from the market, with 1-1 for few T, I 'll take him
I made some update for sa, check this.Quote:

According to this, sa are working individual.
A 1-1 GK maybe is good in penalties too, but this is a different action/reaction of the game.

for now my loyal goalkeeper will be in the goal until i find a new one !Attachment 66468 he has been defending the goal since he was 18 years old
well, just in the middle of a match where we weere leading 4-1 i thought that i should give a chance to Petros Sofroniou. He could play for 18 minutes and now is the question: How the hell he got so much skill progress and my other goalkeeper who played 72 didnt get any`????
1.Picture Attachment 66481 2.Picture Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
Most of those skills that had an improvement were those that had already progressed to a decent percentage before. Also, the player could be faster trainer. So, it could be the first only or a combination of both. You will see that after his next training or match, he will not appear to have progressed enough as those skills that recently gain 1 point or more are probably in the lower progression percentages for the next skill points. Then after the next other match or training session, the gain in skill points will appear again. It is a sort of cycle.
So should i sell him if he is a fast trainer cause he is 99% 119
Why not? In fact, it is better to sell a player at 99% quality than at 100% or above unless the player is closer to the next star. Don't get influenced by the visual quality; even if a 9 star player is poor, you will have to sell him. I sold two 6 star GKs in the past, including the one that was poor and is mentioned in the post above.
GK quiz
As I 'm not satisfied yet from my GK, I 'm checking the market maybe to find something interesting.
I saw this guy
Attachment 66514
124 is good for me but no sa
110 league games, so a consisted one.
He must be in this team at least for 5 seasons.
But in those seasons only once (and in this season) his team qlf in CH.L. and in the Cup probably not more than 1-2 rounds every season.
From which lv is his team ?
Why is he selling him ?
Are those rates good or bad ?
Buy or not ?
Remember what I told you? There is probably a random switch done to a player when the player is transferred from one club to another. This means that the player may perform better or worst than what he did at his previous club. So, if this is considered, you can neglect the past performance statistics of the player.
You want to check the possibility of what I said to be true? Sign the GK, use him and you will probably see the difference in stats after he played some matches for your team, unless of course if the random switch went to the same 'level' or performance but this will unlikely to occur as the probability is low.
I 'm aware of this situation in the game.
We talked about it in another thread and gave you the example of my player , more than one year ago
http://forum.topeleven.com/top-eleve...hing-else.html
but still sometimes I follow the "do the right thing" method - haha
Meaning , when we 're trying to find a player, is good to see his previous stats.
That would be nice to know. One token paid and in one season you've got your keeper up to that level? No amount of normal training in one season would get your player up to that level. That's got to be a lot of tokens or rest packs used on him, and given his level what's the rest of your team like?
LOL, recommended GK still a nightmare....for my team....even time he is on the field...opposite find the net....
i just sold my main GK who was with me 5 season.... (because he was trained in old system...his GK skill is relative low...while the physical is supper high)
and then i got a new GK, fast trainer...and power train him....i put him on 3 matches....all clean sheet.... and i put back the recommended GK for one of the three matches today ( CL...the last match of today..) I won...with 3:2 -.-! the opposite found the net again.... =.=! recommended GK...don't buy LOL
That's an interesting thing... GK are so randomous...
I bought one recommended GK after my main (stayed 3 season) was... call it bad. :D The recommended one looked so nice and I was so mad about how my main performed.
And all games up to now are clean sheeted (correct wording? ).
Besides a friendly (I was away), early in the morning, where my team was around 40% condition, after hard training over night. Opposite was tokenbuyer and 4,5 points stronger... so I don't count this game. :p
so i got another goalkeeper as you suggested! For 2 tokens, gonna say his results after the matchAttachment 66613
Well, the game came to 1-1 but i was my mistake cause i changed the formation right before my team scored a goal so yeah, they used their chances and yup.
Goalkeeper did good got a 7
after the update.... from website i see my new GK (got him 4 days ago in action to replace the recommended GK) .... his skills..... LOL 496% LOL really?? how T11 count XD
