Close like you say, but this might be occur later on and cost my team the competition. The 2-0 loss also may be the same thing. This might cost my team the league as the other team full of scouts' and recommended players is only 1 point behind now. So, I need to report this now. I hope that other users that are experiencing the same thing report too.

I watched some part of that game with my "2nd" team .
Well, in a big part of the game, you played with 3DC which is not enough to counter 4-4-2.
It seems that his MR took advantage of that.
But of course playing with 10 players and scoring 3 times, it's not very realistic.

Happened to my sometimes too. Started watching the game but I had to do something and if had an injury, didn't go for auto-sub.
Does anybody know if with the new version if leave the game (close the app), auto-subs are activate again ?

The other manager came late in the game. Auto-sub did not work.

3DC is enough. 3DC can even be used against 2ST and 2 wingers (for example, in the case of facing a 4-4-2 hexagon). It is not only 3DC. There are two lines of defense: 3DC + 4M. This is how it works in football, and it works like this in this game too. This may not be evident to you because you use another approach when setting formations to be used as counters; your approach is for defensive and counter-attacking which required a lot of players at the back, while I use different types of approaches, using styles that you have not learned, tested or convinced of. I have tested this set of tactics that I have used a lot of times against 4-4-2, and it never failed as such before in this game. I never lost or drawn against a 4-4-2 with this set of tactics before this particular match. In this one, the 3DC and the 4M all act as defenders; there are 2 lines of defense. I marked the MR (he was even doubly marked; the left-sided DC and the ML can mark him). The MR got a high rating because of his assist from corner. What happened here is another anomaly.

I did not use N.D for the most part of the match. I changed to N.D later in the match when the score was already 3-1 against my team.

Nik has mentioned 3DC above; so, there was another formation involved - the formation that I used from the start until I changed to N.D.

Sorry, but "in my world" that's not true. My wife mostly plays ND. She has a 100% winstreak vs 4-4-2 with ND, won two cupfinals vs stronger 4-4-2.

This season, I also won a hard game with ND vs 4-4-2.

Both GKs are good. The same for the defenders. See the screenshot of the fixture list shown above. All clean sheets. This 'crazy' thing only started on Wednesday 18/05/2016.

It was the first conceded goal for me too after quit some time (1-1 draw). Then, my team unexpectedly lost the next match just after this one. And two matches later it became evident that something was wrong. See the fixtures' list I have posted before in thread. There are two images.
