Excessive Number Of Goals Scored

I have noticed that a lot of goals are being scored lately as compared to the past. Based on the 3D highlights (not 2D as the ball comes out of the plane), the attackers (including weaker players) get through the defense way too easily, and also most of the goals scored seem to be from one-on-one situations or close to one-on-one situations against the GK or the last defender, where the attacker cuts the ball and shoots. It is as if there is a Thierry Henry or a Lionel Messi in every team, irrespective of the quality of the team or the player. There have been way too much of one-on-one situations lately. This is not realistic.

Yes, I have seen this too. I'm 10 points clear in the League, in the Cup semi and CL quarters with an awesome team hoping to get my first treble. Yet I still leak goals inexplicably. I rarely have a clean sheet in fact. Hence my GK often gets a 6 rating when everyone else gets 8 or 9. I'd blame my GK but the other one is the same. They both pull out a few saves during the game. So it is odd indeed.

I checked some results from my CL- and Cup- opponents, and some friends... there are some freaking results:

CL first leg QF: 98% (manager + 2 friends) vs 78% (<- away, no manager, no fans) 1:2
he conceeded before only one goal at the whole CL.

CL first leg QF: 80% vs 92% 3:1 (don't know about fans/manager)

my own CL first leg QF: 98% vs 119% (me) 2:3 (Details posted here)

Cup 2nd leg QF: 124% vs 98% 1:2 (don't know about fans/manager)
The 124% conceeded NO goals and win all games (first leg 1:0) at cup... now he's out by a 98% guy, which nearly lost one leg at cup...

Cup 2nd leg QF: 102% vs 122% 1:1 (don't know about fans/manager)

Cup 2nd leg QF: 106% (manager + 1 fan) vs 78% 1:1

League last round: 98% (manager was there) vs 84% 1:1

League last round: 72% vs 103% (manager + me) 3:2


I know, "quality" is not all, but especially Cup - you don't get to QF, if you're a noob. So I'm sure, in some cases, there was a change, but what kind of it?

There seems to be a flaw that makes the event of attackers penetrating the midfield and defense to score goals occurring way to much. Defenders, especially central defenders do not seem to be able to stop them as they should, and the GK does not stop enough shots. Attackers seem to penetrate through the defense way too easily by running with the ball, even lower quality attackers versus higher quality defenders, so as to make one-on-one situations and score. This also explains why so many defenders have got poor ratings lately.

Something has gone wrong after the recent changes or updates in this game. Lower quality teams or players are scoring more goals than expected.

So far, I think that certain things involved in the calculations of match results, and hence simulation of the matches have been messed up or changed, which explains why in a sudden weaker teams have scored more goals than expected and also why more weaker teams have beaten stronger teams.

Raise your defenders' bravery/aggression and they will make challenges sooner and more often. Risky though against short passing high dribbling stat teams.

Not conceding more, maybe scoring more against the whipping boy teams tho. Conceding 15 goals all season I can't see that it's easier to score goals (against me anyway).

Conceded 9 in the cup, but the teams are all at least 1 level above me. 29 scored. 29/9
36 goals for 1 against in champions league group, 9 for 2 against since. 45/3

Looking at last year, I already scored more goals than then by far. But this league is MUCH easier, seems like 7 abandoned teams with only really 1-2 teams even close to competing and last year there was 6-7.
