need help about league oppoenents

Hello I need help
I have 2 think
1)league opponents are chosen on basis of our position in last league,like 1-4 get tough opponents,5-7 get less powerfull and rest get more less powerfull opponents
2)it decide on our status and stars in final day of season.
plz tell me is any of those think are true or opponents are chosen randomly?

As I watching the league draw the last year,

I can say that the last two seasons it's something like this

1-4 get tough opponents,5-7 get less powerfull and rest get more less powerfull opponents

plus our friends from the same level.
Before two seasons, it was all teams with about the same q like ours.

But why you need help about that ? lol

thx for clarification and I have one more question,so if I finish league with around 77-78,then is that mean I get opponent only 4 star on next season,plz help.
