Focussed Passing

I tried something in my home League game today. I guessed my opponent had hard tackling set as I was getting regular free-kicks from the off. So I focussed passing towards his players on Yellow cards or who were consistently fouling and look what happened:

I have never seen 3 players from one team sent off before.

Yep, my ST had a good day in a 5-0 win. He had plenty of free-kicks as well.

You might think I was bit sarcastic Dave, but the opposite is true. If you can reproduce this result a few more times then you would actually be on to something. And to be able to actually explain something in this game would be brilliant. This game is one big mistery to me from time to time.

I detected a hint of sarcasm however there was merit in your comment. My observation was based on 3 years of playing this game and never witnessing 3 Red cards in one game on one team. I plan to keep this ploy in my thinking but I'm guessing the opponent needs hard tackling for it to be a success. Maybe I was just very fortunate on this occasion.

I had that happen once in 3.5 years. I just chalked it off as "the stars lining up". It's bound to happen eventually...
