I got to say though, these guys counter-attacks were something else. I wonder if they played hard defense? Formation was a straight 4-5-1 (MC-DMC-MC). The entire team was very very deep in the sequences shown. And when they started to counter there was just no stopping them. Since I play a normal approach and low pressure I rarely got any problems with counters, so it was a bit surprising.
Anyway, I think I made the right call making very few small changes. Changed to short passing and cut the off-side trap (never really a good idea against an equal or better opponent, what you gain (stop a few attacks) is not worth it in relation to what you risk (give up a goal or two), higher risk than reward). And I also noticed clearly from the stats in leg 1 that he was going down one of my flanks. I changed the order pre-game but let the formation be until the game started, then in the 1st minute and pulled out a player to take care of that flank. Think I was up 2-0 before he noticed it... :) Going down a flank that is shut will cost you.

We had a great start into last week:
At league, we won 16:0 vs 13. place - 7 goals by Costa (again this season), 6 by Weigl (got 4 assists by Costa, so I don't think, Costa will be mad, if Weigl will take the record of most goals in one season).
We won the FA 18:9. My team made two great games, we won both (4:2, 1:0). My wife also made two good games (2:1, 1:0). At first leg, one member got destroyed: 7:2, all other games were close.
We had 3 hard FA-weekends, so pls give us an easy weekend. Thx. :o
Uneventful weekend in the league, as the boys played a pair of week teams.
Champions League produced a pair of workman like 3-0 results to advance to the semi-finals. Starting GK Aleksa Llic has conceded 1 goal in 845 minutes in the CL this season.
Associations. Semi-Finals was an easy 28-4 win. The Finals were significantly more challenging, as we faced an association from Hong Kong. My matchup in particular was bizarre, since my opponent had a 22 man roster w/ nothing but 7* players, with his first eleven having a 133.1% average. However, he had 0 loans, not zero for one weekend, but zero all-time. The Hong Kongers 2nd strongest team was at 110.5%, and they had two teams below 100%. In my association we decided to just give let my opponent get his 6 points since he clearly had no interest in helping out his teammates, and focus on beating the rest so my strongest 8 players got loaned out, which included three superstars (141%, 141% and 143%). I ultimately lost my matches, but the loans produced such a distinct advantage in the other five matches, they we won by a combined margin of 20-8 there. .

Busy schedule has made me lose a lot of games. The most painful been the champions league 2nd round game...lost today in the cup semifinals...if I had won, I had a really good shot at taking the title....aarrgghh

I am thinking about quitting, since there has been no improvements to the higher levels issues nor is there announced any time frame for potential development.
It cannot be right, that the only youngster you can buy is a three star player, which you need to train too 7-8 star just to compete.
All that training is just so time consuming that i have lost my patience .. sad really because i actually like this game.
The insane troll results that comes from out of nothing has not helped either.
How can you lose one day 2-3 and win 7-0 the next, both teams using same tactics, thats just ludacris ! :rolleyes:

We had good day:
We won at league 0:6 away.
After our great victory of the 1.leg of the cup, we played chilled and won.
Interesting thing: after Our CL-Semi, it's clear, we are at final and we also know our opponent.
At Cupfinal, we play vs our quaterfinal opponent from last seasons cup - that one, we had our only (troll)lose...
At CL-final, we play vs our 1.round opponent form last seasons cup... :cool:
Both games will be very hard. We are close to our next triple... but I think, last season was easier.
League is clinched, CL final will be my only tough match left. Now it's time to start dumping the expiring contacts.

Overall this season is going well. Had a rocky start, especially in the association games where I lost continious. Troll results all over. Loosing 3-1 where the advisary had 10 shots with 3 on target and I had 25 shots with 10 on target, etc.... Right now the stats for both my teams are:
League: First place
Cup: Finale
CL: Semi Finale (but away match won with 3-1 and the other one won with 3-2, so looking good)
Association: First place
The home team of first league match just postponed match time to this midnight. As a result, I have 3 matches within 13 hours on cup final day.

Today, there was no surprise - we go to CL-final and won at league, but: 3 games to go at league... and it isn't won.. -.- We need one point and our next game is vs 2.place.
Weigl is one goal ahead from new league-record too... but I think, he can't handle the pressure: At league, he missed a penalty and he shot a few times wide away from the goal. The funny thing was, Costa made 4 goals and need four more goals for a new record. ;p
I talked to Costa, because of Weigls great season. He was quite surprised: "Hey man, what's your problem? Do you really think, I'm mad with Leo, because he took the record? I tell it to you the last time: Yes, it's great, if I'm in the hall of fame of our club, and yes, it's great, to hold some records, but football is teamplay, not single performance. I never could take one of the records without my teammates, so it doesn't matter!!!"
All I thought: "wow, great mentality"
Costa went on: "If we will win the cup tomorrow or the triple the day after tomorrow, it doesn't matter, who scores. All what's important: we are 211 player, everyone works hard for this goal, so we'll win it together."
I think, Costa is alright. :p

2 league matches vs bottom teams, and CL semi home leg. Used my bench to win 1st league match 0-5, which makes me happy with those sub investments.
First round in CL went 2-4 my way, with 15%Q advantage, so my squad was confident, and eager to intimidate the competition ahead of the final match vs. an equal quality team. Spirits were low ever since going out first round of Cup competition.
Today A. Kenny showed why he's captain 4 years running and nailed 4 in the net from distance, plus 2 assists, in a 9-1 goal fiesta.
When he heard that tied the club's competitive match goal record, he laughed (he's had 9 in association match).
Just warming up for Kenny. Last match of the day Kenny raised the bar to 5 solo goals in an 8-0 shut out.
A few of the highest scoring matches for Pueblo this season, and Kenny is on a string of 4x10 match ratings since breaking 100q, and pushed to the top of both league rating and league goals.
Yeah so I ended up losing to the top team, konkimax. Didn't sit well, so decided not to tank the rest of season ;)Quote:

We keep the good form, last 2 matchs were wins of 3:1 and 4:1, today easy game against last place.
Currently in 4th place, but the last 2 games will be hard, will my team be able to keep top4 whend the coach wanted top8 to play the new competion.

My level 32 team just won second Cup again after 32 seasons. I am happy that there will be one cup final victory I can remember.
I must respect the opponent which is 2 level lower and can train his scout players up to 8 stars.
AEPRE FC - Announcement
AEPRE FC will be retiring the number 9, 70, 88 and 99 permanently from all teams in franchise in honour of the recent passing away of the King of Thailand. We also would like all clubs in Top Eleven world to observe a minute silence in their next league and association matches.
I have a shot at two pokers this season. First crucial match will be tonight as I face for the first time a player that is one level BELOW me!!! What the... below me????? My team consists of only 6 and 7 stars (113%) and I am facing a one level lower team that is better then me........ Ok lets check and see what happened here.
Ah, heavy token buyer who bought nothing but scouts. All his players are almost 5 Q higher then I am. All 23 yrs old. ROFL. Ok, this will be very hard. He is using:

Buuhu, tough Cup Final Loss for Al FC.
Had 10% up on the other team, dominated all game. Big possession and shot advantage. Up 2-1 at the end, then baam 2-2 on a counter attack in the 81' and next sequence its 3-2 on a free-kick in the 84' and then the game is over within seconds. Like from the time the sequence started with the counter attack until the game was over, there can't have been more than 10 seconds, one of those games...
HFF won the Cup, a little annoying, both games where played within 3 minutes. Had a bad feeling about the Al FC game, something wasn't quite right, but didn't have the time to do any changes at the end paying attention to two games. But can't complain, Al FC was going for its 3rd straight treble. Hasn't quite been that team's year this season.
Today, we had a superb day: We won league 8:0 vs 2.place... don't know, what he did... this guy has only 1 draw and 2 losses (both against me). I had closer games vs (much) weaker teams... :confused:
Weigl made no goal... but Costa made 3, took the lead at league scoreboard and need only one goal to break his own league record.Quote:

Tomorrow we will play to win our 5th triple. I think, I'm much more nervous than my players.
One last thing to tell: my wife also won her cup after 5 season. She won against a 12% stronger opponent 3:1, so she also plays to win the triple... but if she will win it, it's her first.
Next season evaluation. If nothing has changed I am quitting!
