if you did not win you would get your token back.I have not received any
tokens back & it has now cost me about 15 tokens,why is this ?

You cannot get back the token no matter win or lose.
Be careful whenever bidding.
For unsuccessful auctions, you will get cash back but not tokens.
For negotiation, if your offer was not accepted, you will get cash and tokens back. But I am not sure if extra non-refundable token will be charged for increasing offer,
Losing in bidding war should be unhappy experience.
Whatever made you think you would get your tokens back ?
