116% striker doesn't score anymore

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my top striker, he doesn't score anymore since the start of this season.

Last season he was scoring 2/3 goals per game and now he didn't score one ****ing goal in 17 games. I use the same formation 4222.

I am level 14 and he is 116% (quality 94) and have the perk 1v1 duel

Am I doing something wong with him or the game is just a joke ?

Are you using hard attacking/ attacking formation this season?

Yes, i use attacking by both flanks and I use the same formation that I use last season. Few people change, that's all..

He should score more goals if you switch to normal style
as i believe he is in too advance position

i believe most of your goal come from your AML, AMR
as long as you win your games, it doesnt matter if your ST scores or not

If I win it doesn't matter sure, but sometime when the game is tied, he have opportunities but shoot off target everytime.

STs are underachieving in general.

Have you maybe been much stronger previous seasons than the opponents?
I have noticed that in such games where you ruin your oppo, ST gets a good rating and scores

When teams are almost equal, ST will hardly score when playing from flanks. I get in such games my goals from AM as well.
I get most goals from ST from free kicks + penalties.

STs have a better rating when playing from middle without AM though

Yes, the last season was extremely easy for me. Maybe that's why.

So, to have a good striker who score more, I have to play with an AMC and attack by the center. That's right ?

I do not play much through the middle , but whenever I do I see better rating and scoring from my strikers.

But I would recommend that if your system with flank AMs work then you should keep using it.

Don't focus so much on individual rating as team overall performance.
After all we are not sure how the rating for each position is calculated.

So yes your striker may have low rating because he has low posession, low passes, low shoots , but this may be the case because the opponent defender is fully occupied on him.
If that means more space for your other attackers then dont bother changing anything.
If you underachieve in attack in general, then yes proceed with changes
