Ending 1st season and preparing for 2nd season and treble - advises and tips

I am quite new to the game, but just finished my first season winning the league and a lvl 3 Cup. I wasn't in CL while I have taken the team over.

Here are the stats for this season:

Now, I've read a lot of threads around and decided to go for the treble next season (as it seems to be easier now then on higher levels). And I want to plan my team for the upcoming seasons wisely. Here is my actual squad:

Ending 1st season and preparing for 2nd season and treble - advises and tips-squad.jpg

The ones highlighted with Red are the ones I want to sell at the end of the season.

The ones highlighted with Blue I will explain further down.

The estimated budget after selling the 5 players and one of the blue ones would be: 7 mil.

My goal next season is to win the treble, League, CL and Cup

    And here are my questions:

    1. If I would sell all the players mentioned, would it be to risky to fill out those positions right after the cup draw, but before the first cup match? My budget isn't so high either, so maybe I'll have to get a few 18 yo non fast trainers and some veterans to be able to get through the first cup match.

    2. The highlighted blue players in question, are the 2 options I have for ST for the next season. Both are 120 % now, so they will be 100 % after new season starts. Now the question here is, should I keep K. Ross who doesn't have the Free Kick ability, but will still be under 21 yo, so he will train faster next season? Or should I keep Ferreira, who will have 22 yo next season, but the Free Kick ability and also the option to play him as AMC, so I would also have to option to play 4-5V-1 or some narrow diamond tactics.

    3. If I have players in my squad retiring this season, will they count for the cup draw? Or will they be retired before and the system will add me 3 star players to have a 14 player squad?

    Any other advises are welcome.

I'm also finishing my first season so hope others can give you valuable tips that i also can take note of.

I would personally definitely keep the ST/AMC with freekick. My freekick specialist have been scoring goals for fun and the versatility with AMC is great in my view.

It's pretty hard for me to check whether he is playing good or not. I've only played him 2 games and he scored 2 goals. I already have my superstar R. Hardwood AML / ST with 41 goals in 22 matches and 11 assists.

Thanks for the links, but I've already got through them. I've opened this topic to get some advises based on my specific team and situation.

If you fancy the cup next season you better drop the quality of your squad before sunday
Also there will not be many folk interested in buying on friday & saturday at the end of season.

That's why I was thinking to start selling them tonight after my league game as I don't really care about the last 2 games from the league if I play with 2-3 star players, but at least I have time to sell all I need.

However selling 5 from my 11 lineup isn't a bit risky? I need to fill up in the first day of the next season for the first cup match.

Even tonight not many will be interested in buying this close to the end of season.
The first few days of a new season are well known to be crazy with bidding wars on players & you could well have an early cup tie on the sunday ?

Yeah keep 5-6 good players, 3-4 of the best of the lowest Q players, and sell all the midrange/older players. All you're trying to avoid is a draw vs high lvl 3 and 4 managers.

That's what I've been started doing. One question. if players retire at the end of the season, do they count in the cup draw or will they retire before and I will get other 3 star players to have 14 squad?
