Very good in weekend in the CL and Cup. Won 7-0 as a 15% underdog in cup quarter-finals and won 4-1 as a 22% underdog in Champions League.
Association: I had three 2-2 draws and a 4-1 win this weekend. We've had a pair of productive members retire and have replaced at least one with the wrong candidate. So, we took a bad loss in the association final, falling 8-26. We won the semifinals 18-15. Basically, my associations future is now in limbo.
After a good campaign in the group stage, we managed to win with 4-0 in the first round of the K.O stage.

In CH.L. I 'm the only lv27 team continuing vs lv28 teams.
I was first in my group when I was realized that in oppo group G, the first team would be Saprissa, with more "logic" quality for my team.

I trained up a low Q, but remarkably successful ML with corner specialty, which has already proven valuable. He took MoM and assisted both goals, which has actually landed him atop the league ratings list, despite being a lowly 80% on a 111% team. He took a few MoM titles last season when he was even weaker, and, perhaps tellingly, I caught a match commentary last season that said "he rarely misses". I took that as a clue...

Really relieved to get this lead after the 1st leg in the Cup against this opponent.
I beat him in the final of last year's Cup and we became friends afterwards. He has played friendlies against me all season, I would guess at like 10 games at least. Didn't know we were in the same Cup again, so when I saw that he was the opponent I got a bit afraid. Had he figured me out? :)
But I think sometimes it can be a bit of a curse to have a really good team. Especially if you don't compete that much in FA games. He started with this formation:

IE a fake 3-4-3 with no striker. He took the lead 1-0, and held it quite long. But I moved out my AMC to get both a AML and AMR, and by using the Possession Bonus plus his possession penalty from having no striker, it paid of and I went from 1-0 to 1-2. Then he came back and made it 2-2 in the 54th. But after I made it 2-3 I think he tilted a bit, He went with a formation with no wing players (DL/DR/MR/ML/AML/AMR), and the goals just kept coming for me. I have thought about some of these formations my self and experimented with them, I am not saying that all illigal or odd formations are worthless, but they are only the best in certain very specific situations. Like against a red card team if you combine it late with high pressure. If you have a really good team, there is a risk that you get away with a bit too much on an every day basis, and when you face a tougher opponent you don't know what will work and what won't.
Very exciting game though! This kid had certainly prepared tremendously for it, and the score lie a bit. Shots were 11-22. Was a bit scary at times.

Yesterday we made a fantastic cupgame away. After 3:1 down, we finally won 3:6 vs 7% stronger (and successful) team. So... two more games to win the trophy.
At CL, it was like I said: QF wasn't that hard, we won 1:4 away. Only shot efficiency wasn't that good (14 SoT...).
But now, the hard and interesting games will come.
At league, 2.place to 9.place are really close, only 5 points difference, so we took the chance and be 12 points ahead.:o
Funny part: weakest active/managed team on quality is 2. - and it's a FA member.:D

Lost a CL match today 1-2, and while, in retrospect I could've made a defensive swap, literally 2 days ago in league we beat this team 1-6.

If you've gotta lose, CL is the place to do it. Still expect to win next leg, and the semi final round will be a b**** against a team +7% quality.
After 15 seasons, we have successfully trained a player to a 7star.... How have you been fast training him Peter? All at once or little at a time? Al and I have been chatting about if too much training, not enough rest, can have a negative change on a players performance. I think I have seen both ways...

I changed the schedule to 2.02am and who forgot to train and rest players was me and the other manager atended lol
But we won 3-2 even my loss of condition, so good hattrick of Gorter :o
In the last 2 league game We manage great performances, that lead to 2 wins and going up info the table. NICE!

Argg we are out of the cup in the 1/2 final. We lost the first match against a stronger team with 3-1 and the second game we won with 4-2. It is dissapointent that we are out of the cup cause that the oppenent scored 1 away goal more.
I find for my team that ND is better to counter the 4-4-2 flat instead of the 4-5-1 V.

Small cracks (first game I won 4-0), but we keep on winning. Still 1st in league with the same amount of points but a way better goal difference than the nr. 2nd.
I've played the nrs. 2-4, so now I just have to win the rest.

I gave him SA at 4star and he gained so fast, trained him to 6stars after that and rested him till he fully recovered. He gained another star on his own with a little bit of hard training once in a while....Quote:
