Finished 9th in league, still advanced in level? :(

I finished 9th in my league last season, and I still advanced in level and my players lost one start each. Been playing Top11 for over 4 years and this is the worse **** up yet!!! Please explain how this happenes? Spent all season last season training my entire team to make them better and it was all for NOTHING!!! Put me back down a level please!!!

It even says it in the game that in some cases this happens. I finished 8th in my first season and didn't get promoted.

Well, that's the weird because promoting from 9th position is almost a rule.

Not true. Have finished 9th a bunch of times and never been promoted. Look me up and check my stats.

only 10th position is secure (and that's not for very high levels)
This was one of the first I read in this forum and kept it as a tip
I 'm also staying with my teams from time to time.
