Non Promotion

I know that the top 7 teams are promoted to the next level and that the bottom 7 remain in the current level. But I have a query.

I am currently level 5 manager, but am playing in level 6 league. I am currently in 5th position. What I am wondering is, if I don't achieve promotion, will I stay where I am (in lvl 6 div), or will I go into a lvl 5 league to match my manager level?

Pretty sure you will stay where you are, there is no relegation so the game will just ignore you when it updates the promoted sides and the level five promoted teams move into your league.
Unless you've upset them enough to make a manual adjustment.

How come you are in level 6 but manager level 5?
