Am I the only one strugling with consistency?

Hi guys, from the very beginning of the season my team is struggling with consistency. I really don't get it why it is that?

Just to name few examples: in one match I won 5-1 against ACTIVE manager with team quality 116%. My team Q is 120%. Next match, I struggled to draw 2-2 against INACTIVE team with quality of 78%. And this whole season is just a lot of strange results...

In previous seasons I always had weaker teams (from 90% to 110% at the end of season) and played more strange tactics such as 3-1-4-1-1 or 3-2-3W-2. I remember these times that I constantly managed to upset strong teams, and almost always won against teams I should win.

However, at the beginning of this season I used almost 900 greens to upgrade my team to 120% and changed tactics to more conservative 4-1-4-1 - I expected to get really good results - but it seems that I'm just getting very inconsistent results...

What are your experience guys? Have you ever experienced frustrating inconsistency? How you deal with it? How do you win matches that you should win (Quality lower 20% or more)?

Today i lost to an inactive team which is 25% weaker. I have quality players and my team is better than him in every aspects. I also made well preparation. In short, there is no real reason i should lose rather than the trolling RNG.

I accept luck as a factor but not in this way. I thought about quitting the game after that trolling match.

Well guys, it's happening to me too, sometimes. Today I had in the league against a team not much weaker then me. We made 4-4 🤔🤔🤔. He used 4-1-2-2-1 with Aml/AMR. I didn't knew what to play against him and I made the same system. My team is 15% better than his, but still I guess my tactic was wrong. And one more thing: do not ever use the same players two days in a row, they will not perform at their normal standards... Now that I think better, maybe if I had been using 4-3-3 or 3-1-3-3 I would have won, but of course with different players on the field.

When playing against 20% lower team ( or even more ) , then try to reduce your team as much as you can.
Like when you have 110% and opponent has 70% team, try to make your starting 11 like around 80%.

Trust me, I have tried it many times and work really well. At the moment 0 troll results or something like that...

Maybe it's just a luck, but as I have seen my past season, it does not seem so...

I lost in two of the first four league games of this season. One opponent was 20% weaker, another one was 30%+ weaker. After that I decided to tank.

i experienced troll-matches too
in my case it was when i played a tournament ...
in 2h difference i had a 6:0 and a 0:3 result with excat the same team and bonus against the same opponent

imo it has something todo with the new training system, so there are players with extreme stats out there (1% def 300% off), who make the results very variable, because they lack consistency
i use such players, so i am not wondering too much about troll results

i been suspecting troll results got nothing to do with anything really. Its just the statistics might be dice rolled i.e possession, shots, shots on target etc.

Some games i watched full 90 minutes live animations, i didnt see opponents manage any shots on goal, it was me attacking all the time. But after the game the stats showed that opposition have 20 vs my team also 20 shots at goal.

Yesterday I beat the team that was top of the League to go top myself. Today I lose 4-1 to the bottom team in the league who had only won 2 matches all season. We were evenly matched in quality terms. Can't explain the randomness of results these last few seasons.

results seems 50/50 at the moment.. you can lose big to the last in league and the next day win big against the league leaders.

Dunno if this helps but I ALWAYS suffer a few bumps in the campain at 2/5ths through the season. I start the season strong, and get the results I would expect (Including some losses against expert managers) but after about 8-10 days into the season I get whacked with 2-3 unexpected losses. Naturally I question my tactics and what im doing wrong. Its frustrating but my team always gets out of the rut within a few days and starts getting expected results again. Just don't go crazy and change up your formations to quickly. Breathe and get through it

I think, it's all about the engine, A.I.

I only struggle against teams, which are inactive. So this teams are played by the A.I.

At CL, I had the best opponent in my group (and for sure, we will play the final). He was a bit weaker (3%), I won away 1:6, opponent hadn't a chance to win this. Rematch, exactly same player on both side, my team full moraled/rested (like 1.game), we lost at home 1:2. We were also a lot better 7:2 SoT, we had the lead, suddenly opponent scored at 56' and 57'...
Only difference between those games: first match, manager was there, second match he wasn't there.

Same thing at league: we beat 2. place 7:0 -> this team conceeded 7 games no goal... manager was there. Today, we played vs last place (made 0 points, inactive), that team was ~80% weaker and we only won 5:0...

Nothing more to say.

Here an perfect example for this stupid system:

green (active manager), was 1.place at his league.
yellow (inactive team), was 12.place, only won win -> 22% weaker.

green is the brother of my wife, and he got this season (22 games) 9 troll results like the screen...

I can only say, in real football results are way more random and unpredictable than in TE.

I really hate that compersion, because of sell-buy-trick (draw exploit), endless leveling (punishing for being a good manager), quality pushing, red packs, limition of offers, thousands of Ronaldos, Messis,... and the most important: you can't imaging of the live animation/statistic, what went/goes wrong. This small, but important thing is necessary, to learn what you have to change.

THIS is a computer game, this is a tactic game, which only shows you football. It also can be ice hockey, basketball... and because of this, it has to be comprehensible.

We play a game where almost nothing is comprehensible. It is not a clear tactics played by well known rules, not that kind of game. The mechanics in TE is vague and unclear; we don't know what the majority of parameters do (if they do something at all), and the most important parameters are hidden; effects of player's actions are in many cases unpredictable. And RNG is ubiquitous. I would be happy to get some explanations about how things work here, but Nordeus are deliberately hiding the information, trying to make the game looks (feels!) like real football. And I can't say they completely fail this task.
Though you hate this comparsion, it's impossible to avoid it when speaking about TE.

Also in my league very strange results, good teams loosing against average teams by big margin goals like 3-0, 4-0 😢

The game engine is broken , that why.
Thigns have been good for many months and start to go broken since last season.
All my asso members agreed every match is fixed already. One even left the game.
I just managed to draw against a 40% weaker team 3-3 in a game both managers did not watch. All my 3 goals in first while his 3 goals comes in second half.

Yeah same here. I think the main think is to play attacking and high press to avoid those upsets
