[Official] End of Support: Flash browser version - Apr 17

Hi Managers,

On April 17th, the old Flash browser version of Top Eleven will be retiring and will no longer be available.

This was a very difficult decision, as we know many of our longtime Managers enjoy playing on the old version of Top Eleven. However, the decision will allow us to focus our efforts on improving the updated Top Eleven and building new features going forward.

Your clubs will be waiting for you in the updated version of Top Eleven on web browser and supported mobile devices (iOS and Android)! We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of Top Eleven.

Please can you now prioritise the inclusion of the 'Club History' feature in the 'updated version' as that is what most managers who use it go back to 'old version' for...

On a serious note, I think that elements of the old version like season and all-time stats as well as number of fans must be implimented into the new version.

Yeah WORST thing you could had ever do////Our Club History will no longer be available unless you implement it in new version BEFORE you do this thing.....We wont be able to see unbeaten records, most goals from a player in the club's history and so on etc etc...So any insight about this ?

If you turn off old version, before clubhistory, fans, flaggs,... are in the new version, it's the really worst decision so far...

If the suggested things won't be added to new version, then losing old version in a Big mistake. ( Many users have suggested, that many things from the old version should be added to new version...)

Are you serious ? We have tons of loading and running problems with new version. ( Users are often disconnected and some of the managers can't even load the new version. ) You should fix those problems before closing the old version...

I'm guessing that you'll go ahead with this NO MATTER WHAT I SAY
What I WILL say is If you DO end support to the old version - I WILL quit the game.

If you don't have time to do both then delete the NEW version.

Stupid decision... Since new version started, you didn't fix many of major issues... I'll just name one, very important issue, in-game stats are not updating on time... Often it's still zero stats, deep within first half and sometimes no update until half-time... For me, stats are very important to determine stile of play and without those it's blind play... Not to mention that I wont be able to cover 2 games playing at the same time, 'cause two new versions on, eat entire RAM...

I have to say that i used to go sometimes on old version , but thruth saying i less and less use the old top eleven so , for me , it will not be so hard to see the end of this old version .

But one thing will miss me it is the historical club' stats as my own signature , can you at least make a release with those statistics in the new version .

Off topic , but since few weeks it seems all decisions made by Nordeus are systematically dispute by a hard core of top eleven forum users , always the same guys ...

Dear Nordeus,

The reason you know it's "difficult decision" is because you are well aware that even more than one year after introducing new version, it still sucks big time compared to the old one, so we do in the new version only what can't be done in the old one, while every feature supported by both is still hands down better in the old one. So the difficult decision in fact should be finally admitting that using phone-oriented development platform to develop browser applications, which you did, just does not work.

Or perhaps you might want to actually improve the usability of the new version, listening to what your users say, so it would become on par with the old one, if that's even possible with this phone platform. And only then to make the move.

WTF guys are you serious?

It makes sense that old version would not be available soon, but in order to do so you should have done some basic steps first:

1) Announce this a lot earlier, eg it will be closed in 6 months from now
2) Port some great features the old version has to the new version during this period.

We have been complaining for so much time why some basic good features have not been ported to new version..
These basic stuff made people using still the old version..

Personally I use the new version at 90% of the time, but I still find old one useful for the reasons explained above

Hey Everyone,

Well it's expected to have people on both sides of the fence in regards to this announcement.

I kinda feel sentimental about the departure of the old version. I've played the game in its older iterations for years before the new version got developed and released. It's like seeing an old friend go I suppose.

But I have to say that I'm on board with the team here in regards to this hard decision. Pulling the plug on the old version will open up valuable resources with which to tackle some of the issues with the new version and work on improving it, as Moi explained in the opening post. It's not just about developing new features, it's about introducing stability as well, refining what we already have and sanding out the chinks. :)

That being said, we also acknowledge that this step wont be held in awesome praise, I mean c'mon, it's a removal of something. It's normal for anyone to feel that there is nothing to be "gained" by this move at the end, especially from a player stand point. But the thing is that, again, this will provide the dev team with immense flexibility and, as unfortunate as it may feel, saying goodbye to the Old and dear version of Top 11 will have a resounding affect on the overall production of the game for the long term. :)

Guys, this wasn't an easy decision on our part. I think the fact that the Old version was an option for so long after the release of the New version of Top 11 simply speaks for its self here.

And one more thing - I'm really glad to see that, even though it's caused by negative feelings, you guys wrote down some suggestions and explained your mindset about this whole thing.

A sticky new thread in suggestions forum to collect what features/functionality would like to be seen in newer version, is good time to be created and collect some info I think :)

Not new for me.
I'm using an old Android version phone.
I'm fine with this.
Old version long gone for me

Thanks a lot for all your comments and feedback. Make sure we're listening and gathering all of it, specially when it comes to finding out what features do you want to see in the browser version of the game.

Challenging brings improvements.

Just playing along with what is given, eventually brings ****.

This is a bad move, it's good having the option of either, and the history part needs to be saved.
The old version is the only way I can get extra tokens clicking on adverts, at least 4 a day, helps me build a team each season.
I'd threaten to leave but I don't spend any money on the game anyway so it's a bit of an empty threat! :D

And whats about the club and player History??? This is a very bad move

I use both versions. The new version takes more ram and stuff. The old version is more 'light weight'. I use the old version when I'm in a hurry. I only use the new version for training, sometimes to watch matches, and transfers bcoz you can arrange the players according to star... tick the '5 star box'... you can't do that on the new version.

Please. Don't end it. Because ...

1. Some people don't have a strong computer or strong mobile phone;

2. The new version can't sort the players based on detailed skill part in attacking, defending, or mentality. for example sorting players by the highest shot points, or the highest speed points in the squad;

3. The flag features for away game by manager career at all time;

4. Features all time's club history;

5. Submissions gifts from friends we receive for these skill points don't directly applicable to players. managers can set it up as desired by the manager. like the old version. Managers can use it or postpone it so that the player doesn't rise to six stars for easier sell if we had gone up to the next level;

6. etc.

Worst news ever. It's like telling us to abort the game. We, i at least, can't play the new version, having loading and running problems. I tried to play through my mobile, it's just can't happen, i can only load from my mobile, can't control my games and i'm often disconnected.
I see that i'm not the only one, many managers can't even load the new version. You updated the old version so you must be aware that lots of us prefer it.
Please take notice of all the posts here.

Played since May 2011 and love the old version. Cannot get on the new version on my laptop. Looks like its curtains for me. Have been on the new version on a friends laptop and do not even know how to add blue boosters to players. Did not like it at all. Please please save the old version.

Just want to suggest that this thread stays open for older managers to keep venting, and hopefully everyone can stay respectful to each other.

Also suggest adding the link to the Suggestions thread onto Moi's official post at the top of the thread. The link on page 2 will get buried.

Gostei, pode ser que ajude a equipe da Nordeus para não ter mais problemas com a versão antiga, mas o problema para mim vai ser pior ainda porque eu jogo pela versão antiga kkk. Tenho problemas para jogar na nova versão pelo computador!

Fair enough flash is getting out dated now a days lots of games are ditching so it's a good move top 11

Dear Sirs Administrators / Nordeus /, what prevents leave one server to serve the old version of Top Eleven as a nod to the multimillion audience with a special address that? The forum noticed that not everyone can afford powerful machines, but they are able to serve the new version !!! Not to mention that the old version I think there is a better interface, more understandable and is easier to "work" !!! Opted out of maintenance of the game for many languages, now makes it complicated and inaccessible to many of your fans, which leads me to the thought of where to move the market - up or down !! ??

Você não está sozinho. Embora muitos gerentes jogam a versão antiga, isso era iminente =[ Se você tiver problemas com a nova versão, você pode tentar navegador diferente. Deve funcionar bem no Firefox.
E, por favor, use Inglês ou Google Tradutor.

And what about windows phone???? Honestly! You MUST make an application for windows phone, especially if you want to turn off the old version.
