Last season Pueblo followed tradition and won our League 10 competition. The team was sold and I proved for myself that old players can be valuable, and resource management is key to developing a legacy team that is tough over many seasons, rather than a major refresh each season.
In both Cup and CL we were underdogs, often -20%, like I shared in my stories last season. Pueblo went out in the Quarter and Semi Finals for those competitions, and fought hard from first to last. In both, we lost the first leg by 2:3 against heavy favorites and +1 level managers. I told the boys we weren't going to lose, we'd walk away with results to make us proud. A 1-0 win and 1-1 draw didn't see us through, but the team broke my expectations.

Edit: the manager who beat me in the CL semis... he had won about 3 knockout matches, mostly draws and losses, barely sneaking through. Pueblo had won 7, I felt we really deserved the Final spot. But it was redeeming watching that team get walked over in a 6-1 humiliation.

The chinese guy made in only last two hours a jump form 127% to 138%. :rolleyes:

Desert Rats and Home Guard had their Leagues for this season unveiled overnight, and have hope for successful League seasons ahead. Desert Rats are in the top five for Quality, and with a little more judicious updating and some luck will again be challenging for honours. Home Guard's Quality rating sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the sea of mediocrity which is the rest of the League. With only three others looking likely to challenge them, and the need to improve their squad for the other competitions, it appears that only a substantial amount of Trolling will deny them another Championship season.

i like what i see in my league my arch rival is in and the league is gonna be intresting with 4 or 5 teams capable of winning the title. Love it.
And we are off on a rocky start. Sigh. Out of the cup already with one team. Other team through with some luck. Champions league games were odd.
My first team meets up a with an equal team. That team gets 3 animations in the whole game. 2 scores of course. I get about 14 animations and just tied the game in the 89th minute. Phew.
My second team faces a level higher opponent but his quality is very poor. VERY poor at 65% against my 103%. Should be a cakewalk right? WRONG!! Troll result coming in.

Desert Rats FC played their first Group match in the Champions League away at the team that finished 2nd in the same Group as the Rats last season. The corresponding match last season was a 0-0 draw and this match was equally as tight, but this time a 15th minute strike by midfielder Danny Collins was enough for Desert Rats to escape with all three points from a 1-0 win.
Great. Just great. Not only my rival team, Mochammad FC is in the same group as my first team, but the other one just smashed my team by 4 goals to one. Looks like my own task to demote to NML will be much easier...
Furthermore, my GK (Rashid, the 2* man)'s performance was so awful. I might want to switch back to Ibino instead...

Im feel good with the challange I started, seems a defense in 1-4 playing defensive works enough well.
Liked the way that my team played in defensive mode really... after play with bayern 55 seasons with 4-3-3... 4-3-1-2 and the actual 4-2-3w-1 this formation with a advanced defense entertain me.

Desert Rats FC started their League campaign this season with a workmanlike 3-0 win against a determined visiting side, Kostadin Marinov, Emanuele Imbimbo (pen) and MoM Madalin Vlasiu the scorers.

Home Guard FC are beginning to look to the Nivea Mens Super League as their way out of the Champions League Group stage, after a home defeat against a higher-Quality team. The Management, faced with an 11% Quality deficit, tried one of his experimental formations in an attempt to stifle the expected assault on the defence, and for 82 minutes, the plan seemed to work. The visitors went ahead after 19 minutes, but the counter-attacking of the home side was always dangerous, and four minutes before the break it succeeded, midfielder Kevin Sohn knocking in an equaliser from a Jeffrey Knubben cross. The second half was more even, the opposition manager finally turning up to supervise his charges, which seemed to stifle the power out of their attacks. The threat was always there, however, and with eight minutes left on the clock, a sweeping attack thrust through the home defence and the visitors gained the lead again. Home Guard suffer only their second ever defeat, 1-2. With the other teams in the Champions League Group also showing a Quality advantage over them, the outlook is grim.
The Management visited the Transfer Market in the evening, but found it over-run with far-East token wielders and reluctantly retired to the Scout List for his purchases, aiming to replace low-Quality defensive players.

Both the new recruits were blooded in the now-customary late evening home League match, the home side holding a massive Quality advantage over their opponents, even without the higher-Quality players included. Doubles from defender Scott Barlow and striker Matias Rolando, and singles from right-back Jeffrey Knubben and Kevin Sohn enabled Home Guard to record a 6-0 win.
3 Losses in a row for Persebaya, and the next game is against the same team that beat me in the CL game. Now I have my white flags ready :mad:

The formation is no the problem really, the problem are the players that are so bad really... no 9's performing, and I wrote my conditions to make this more entertaining, that is find players from the U.K. - Britain Islands... Now Ive checked and saw some player from Wales.. Irish... some from England... too this defense advanced, with DM's dont make it easy to find players.
Our target will be simple this season, with these night schedules, and the limits I will be happy if we are in the Top 4 to play the CL next season and, prepare the team with players from the same zone, then I will see if I invest in a scout next season... Ive seen from North Ireland, Wales, Ireland... and England this season.. but to be top 4 there's no need and really I prefeer inverst in other matter...
Got the revenge on the CL rival at the moment at the cup game by the score of 3-2. Now I need to lose the next match against Mochammad FC and score two wins against the 4* Thai team to get the NML spot. I might just do it...

Home Guard FC had their League match first today, and recorded a good 4-0 away win. Mathias Rolando notched up another double, Hekmat Fadhil and Samuel Njewel the others.
Desert Rats FC also had an away match in the League, and were against a side with a similar Quality to yesterday's opponents, but the match was much harder, from the Rats point of view. The deadlock was broken by Moritz Maiwald in the 37th minute, Desert Rats won 1-0.
