Team names with special characters

I've noticed that some team names include special characters like stars, etc. Does anyone know how to do it?

I think it has to do with creating symbols with the pc keyboard, like typing for a smile or (y) for a Like.
But I wouldn't suggest you to do that.
Usually those "weird" characters may have problems with some features of the game.

Yep these are done via special key-combinations (On PC at least). Just like Niko I'd suggest against using these as it may cause unforeseen issues, as some symbols aren't actually supported. Don't think there'd be any problem with special letters though, as they are basically the same as if you'd be using a supported non-english keyboard. Letters such as ù, û, ì, ó, etc.

Have any of you actually tried to do it? Because I'd like to try it, but I wasn't succesful with Alt codes. I can't even put this $ and other symbols there.
