So 1 week ago i bought a player for 4.6M. did overpay for him . 1T auction.
i trained him quite a lot.
His market value now is the same 4.6M
i check transfer list, found a player same position same age, worse!!!! skills than my player. no special ability.
his market value is 6.5M
how is that even possible????!!!!
the 2nd player is faster trainer than the first (increasing his quality with less greens)

he doesnt look as a fast trainer
and i dont think being a fast trainer, or training speed, has any influence on market value. please direct me where an official source says this thanks.
No official source will say anything about this.
Part of managing a football team is scouting and being able to spot players who grow fast.
What Niko is saying comes from experience of many, many, many seasons and managers.
Try buying one such player and train him and train your player with same drills.
Check who gains more attributes in a training session.

I have recently bought ST player but I realized I have got one much better and he values less than the new one I had (obviously, I sold him because he didn't fill my expectatives).

So, my question is we can trust the market value calculation. From now I think I need to be more careful when I want to hire a new player but, I am new and, honestly, I can't trust market value anymore. The only reference I will have it will be my actual players.
I want to take advantage and I want to ask you when is the best moment to buy and sell players, when the season has started or at the end of the season.

AS far as selling players goes anytime is a good time as they are no longer put on auction .
The game decides if it buys your player & also decides the price .

I merged those two threads as they have the same subject.
The value of a player hasn't anything to do with his performing or quality value.
Often we use it as an indicator if this player is a fast trainer (has a quicker development).

Best time I think is in the end of the season as the new one they will be one year older and they 're gonna loose some percent of their value (specially if they are young and expensive).
But are you manage to find replacements in the first day of the season ?
Transfer market is little crazy now.
