I lost my first semi final against a team.
I know the game engine is random etc. but his team has 0 5 star players, and my team is comparatively better.
I lost 2:0 and now to advance to the finals i need to win by atleast 3 goals. this seems impossible because the possession was like 50:50 and he beat my best team.

He uses this formation.

he lacked ml mr dmr dml so i tried attacking flanks but didnt work. any counter formation to beat him?

You could beat his 4-4-2 narrow diamond by playing 4-4-2 (Classic or wide diamond), 4-5-1 (V/butterfly) or 4-1-4-1... You could also try playing with long balls.
