    Table of Counter Formations Thread

    Oi,

    It's been a minute.

Just curious if anyone has updated the table in awhile. Certainly there are better counters to the 4-5-1 and 4-4-2 that have been in practice for years since this was created. Anyone have something fresh and clever?

    ^^

    Yey Sons,
I recently copy pasted it in the Spanish forum.... is true that since time the table has not been updated... and too checking the #659 where there's a additio for example I don't see a classic and enough effective counter for the 4-4-2 as is the 4-1-4-1, and some others as you say.

Personally I would like to see a really "tested" table of counters, based in real experiences gathered in a 2nd thread or in a private group, where to post the experiences and have real data and feedback of how these counters work actually... this can seem a tough work but maybe a V.3 of the table in this sense can be done for example creating a thread per season where to test how to find the counter just for 4-5 formations, so then with time we can have a interesting work done....

Will think in it, cause time ago I was thinking in to do this using the private group of the University xD but is not so easy...

Starting from the lineup I know better.. 3-2-3-2

    Table of Counter Formations Thread-screenshot_20170711-191830.jpg

    Very strong against:
    4-3-3
    3w midfield lineups

Not anymore an exceptional counter of 4-5-1v.. Against AML/AMR I think DR and DL are currently more effettive

    Very weak against:
    4-5-1
    3-5-2

I disagree. the 3-2-3-2 works really well for me against the 4-5-1v. it was probably your settings

    What are your settings?

Mine are short passes through the middle, counter off, zonal marking and own field pressing

Indeed, I would never risk my 4-5-1V against this. As I never do against 3MC-tactics. But I'm interested by a counter for this 3-2-3-2!

I use 4-1-2-1-2ND with good effect on 3N-2DMW-3N-2...

really it depends on your setting and player quality.
