ST/AML or ST/AMR players

I purchased a 19 years old striker with free kick skill 4 seasons ago.
He played almost all the games (around 30 each season) ....
Trained him and kept him betwenn 99% and 118%
His scoring rate was less than 20% = 1 goal each 5 games ...
after three season I gave up ... He was 95 % I sold him to someone who offered 5 tokens
In his first season with the new manager (age 23) he scored 35 goals out of 40 games
