Another wallet sucking game?

So first season player here, played most of the season, about 6 games in, was at the back of the pack.. bought a few scouts (cos I wanted RM kits).. Started working on catching up with trio at the top.

Fast forward to game 26/28. We are both at 53 points each, this is it, literally the decider of the league winner.

I worked really hard to become 1st, understood tactics and how formations/counter formations work. So had the game 26/28, this opponent is about 10% weaker than my team. Our first league game I won 8-1, I played a friendly just before the league match and won 4-1 (in fact every other friendly we ever played I had won by considerable margin).

Boosted morale, rested players 80%, setup my fav tactics that worked every other match I played against this team annnnnd - I lost the league match 2-1 (no tactic change done any difference) and I played a friendly match right after and won 6-1.

Is the game algorithm literally setup to piss off players so invest more thinking they need more "power" to not lose like that again in the future?

Game 24 out of 26 you mean.
I wouldn´t read anything into friendly games btw. 10 % difference is very little as well.

Don't spend money on the game and you'll enjoy it.
Just thought, wait till all your players lose a star next season!

spend money but not so early.
Wait 1-2 seasons to see how it works and then buy some.
Also read some threads here from the forum.
You 'll earn a lot of tokens by that.

You said it's your 1st season and you already understand the game, the tactics, formations, etc? I don't think so. Many people with 50 seasons are la till learning..... So.....

Re buying players - I have invested only in 18-19yr olds. By scout players I meant the 8* 19yr old negotiable that are better value.

Yeah aware about star dropping. Which is fine as it's same for everyone

Spending money to buy an official kit of Real or other team, it's the only action you will never regreat of.
Buying scouts from the other hand ...

Scouts that I got were 79T from the kits tokens. Wasn't silly. The rest just good 18-19yr old transfers between 1.5m and 3m
