Well I haven't updated for a bit, so a quick overview of the last three very successful days for Feeder AFC
Friday:
Wiberg United FC 0 - 9 Feeder AFC
A club record away win at lowly Danish team Wiberg, featuring a hat trick from Arljind Andreoli, to continue Feeder's 100% league record. The down side is a broken leg for top scoring midfielder Marius Panzaru, which could leave him out for 20 days. The club have stated that they will try to get a specialist in before the crucial 2nd leg cup tie tomorrow
Feeder AFC 4 - 2 inkypoolutd fc
Feeder avenge their only CL defeat against the other English team in the group to finish top
Saturday:
Feeder AFC 2 - 0 RAVENS FC (agg: 2 - 1
A close run thing, but Feeder get through a tough tie against the best team they have ever played. Despite giving away 3 points in quality (29 v 32), the home team start well and open the scoring after 27 minutes. A great through pass from Andreoli puts star youngster James Watson in on goal and he slides home for the lead. Then, with half time approaching, Andreoli unleashes a pile driver from distance and Feeder are ahead on aggregate. After the break RAVENS increase the pressure, so after 67 minutes Feeder drop their attacking style in favour of a more balanced approach. Despite some scares, they avoid conceding the goal that would put them out and at the final whistle scenes of jubilation engulf the stadium
Feeder AFC 5 - 0 Guiseppe FC
The fans are going nowhere as, just 20 minutes later, 1st plays 3rd in a crunch league match. The home side, featuring 10 changes from the previous game, dominate from the first whistle - scoring after 6 minutes and rattling in a further four to leave their Italian opponents floored. This time it's Russian striker Vitaly Puzin who takes home the match ball
Sunday:
Black Diamonds 1 - 4 Feeder AFC
Feeder face Italian opposition again, with the league leaders travelling to their closest rivals. A first minute goal starts the ball rolling and despite conceding an equaliser, an easy win takes the team 6 points clear at the top
Fire Monkeys 1 - 3 Feeder AFC
A comfortable away win in the first leg of the CL round of 16 against their French opponents should see Feeder into the QF
A great weekend for Feeder, seeing good progress in all competitions. Two new signings have also been added, a GK with one on one SA and a ML/AML with shadow striker. We're top of the league, the best team left in the CL and the cup draw means we would avoid the best side (Level 5, Q33) until the final - assuming we can get that far. The fans are starting to get excited at the prospect of a treble, but a lot could happen between now and the end of the season!
It's been great fun so far though, good luck to everyone else on this forum for their upcoming matches :-)
