Hi guys - would like to get your inputs on the NEW FORMATION.
Since we are without the ARROW and fixed POSITION. what's the best way to arrange the "flexible position"
- should we put our STRIKER in front or behind defender?
- should we put our defender on top of their striker or behind the opposition striker?
what do you think is the best arrangement? i did tried to put in 3 scenario - in front, behind or interpose, but i do not see any drastic results.

Different opponents different approach. For me I keep moving my striker from bottom of his square to middle, to top after every 30mins of game time. When he scores in one of those positions I leave him there
I don't see any difference either as far as position goes . I just try to have as many bright areas as possible, I don't know if that has any effect either.
That bright areas are there where enemy doesn't have a player in certain position. That's not helpful at all because you can see it from his formation and that bright just **** your mind.
Last season, all bright areas. This season, no bright areas even with the same squad. Now I'm confuse...
New improvements in formation tactic have altered the normal play of the matches; my friend usually use a very solid tactic, last year he won the "triplete", but today he have played against a formation (similar force) that in the old game was illegal.

Lost 1-5, the opponent have only two defenders. Result is ridiculous.
If this is the new idea of game of Nordeus, I think many managers will leave this game.
I hate new screen formation, it only creates confusion.
Thanks guys for sharing your observation. Seems like there’s not much drastic difference seen from changing position around or playing with the bright spot. Hopefully there will be improvement made that provide flexibility that can actually have strong impact.
I can't see the point of any formation screen when the AML and AMR players don't actually play there once the match gets going... :mad:
There is no difference if you put them behind or in front or in between or to the left or to the right or EVEN on top or on bottom :DQuote:

No, it's not. Moving players to the edge of the zone gives you possession in both zone, if the player has these positions. At least that.Quote:

It does matter where a player is situated in a certain zone on the pitch. With the new fluid formations and how the pitch is segmented, the engine now takes into consideration how a player's position was predesignated when conducting its calculations. Both for your players and those of the opponent. And its not just the Ball Possession that's being increased/decreased based on where each player is positioned.
Relative to the centre of the zone - Positioning your player Back / Forward / Left side / Right side / In-between each direction, will make the player be considered by the engine as being present in that particular part of the zone. Naturally this can offer you a tactical advantage over you opponent and vice versa.
I'm personally still trying out the new functionality now that the update is live. What I'm getting is mostly expected results from my player repositioning during LMs. And another thing I'm noticing is how the guys were able to make the engine really responsive to changes that are being made. Least for me the pace of the game changes quickly and accordingly. (Well sometimes my choice of formation backfires at me... >.>)
Anyway, I just wanted to say that we're going to keep improving on the simulation. The update to the engine is still young and its not over. :)
EDIT: Btw, how is everyone else feeling their live matches? Are you trying out things to learn the curves?

Yep. What everyone can do is basically use the vertical zones as markings by which to determine how their formation will be interpreted in the Match Preview.
Like in the image I attached. if you take a look at the player shadows for the opponent team, they will show up as employing a 3-1-1-3-2 formation.

As shown, all flank zones are quite wide (long) in contrast to the central zones, so they almost take up two zones worth of space.

...why, with attack down flanks as mentality, they are playing in the middle of the field (the AML is no.2, AMR is no.25), as in the below screenshots?

Same happens to me as well as talisman, flank am completely out of poistion in animation

Im not down with the new update. Ive had 1 injury every game, and im losing matches i shouldnt lose to bizarre formations that would never work

its not normal, you actually should can only know the opponent fluid formation by observing the players during the match only
I suggest, the opponent only can see my fluid formation when the match start during live match.
before the match, they only know the default assigned position (center location) of every assigned position.
Hm, I think I know where you're coming from with this adifairus. Yeah the old arrows were a lovely little "hidden weapon" you could use to boost your players' def/attack capabilities. As you said you could only find out if players were set with these during the actual match by directly observing.Quote:

well i understand this new squad screen is still in beginning stage and in progress of improving.
this is the reason i still keep playing this game because i know it will keep improving better
If you put the wingers sloser.to the midfield maybe they wont tke part in the middle.

I don't like when my rival see my players position, as well I don't like to see his/her; it's feel me nude
during the match time if you try to move the player it pop up player's profile which cost time; changing formation, changing players etc pain.
