You like to tank? No problem, I also do sometimes.
Except that you are a ****ty individual when you field your best team just to annoy those running for the league. And there are two types of those people, those who want to annoy everyone on top, and those who just don't want one team to win.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this and I can only make a rant thread since it's not cheating. You are just a ****ty and unfair player if you do this. Either run for the league or don't.

There are friendlies for that.
I prepare myself in expectation of a weaker or a stronger opponent.

It is ****ty, no doubt about this. The only time I've done this was to help a friend who was actually contending for the title. The first guy even is your friend in the game. even thou you may not know each other there is some sort of ethics and good understanding that most people don't seem to have.

It happened because you are the best in the competition. I have the almost same kind of managers in my league,mostly the bottom half teams and now my treble is in jeopardy. I tried to get better of them but it was not good enough and I am in the verge of losing the league in terms of goal difference. Moving on!

Yes exactly. He even beat me in the cup final, but I didn't get angry (I won enough trophies so I don't care), he probably was tanking but still aiming for the cup as many other people do. I usually befriend people I play the final with, no matter if I win or lose, it's just a sign of respect and recognition of how they played. To the best ones I even gift a shirt or an emblem since I have a lot of tokens and it's a recognition to those who can't beat me or beat me everytime. In any case they deserve it.

Even if we play behind a screen we are still people, but many forget this because it's easier to be an ass online.

This game is really going downhill, not only because of bad development but also because people are trying everything to exploit or ruin the game for the others. Many of the good people I added as friend and that gave me a nice challenge while still acting great are gone.

This remind me 5 or 6 season ago where i was drawn with 2 Russian tanker who beat me in all competition. Then came the revenge the next season where i destroy them in 2 season for treble, they eventually quit their game. That was my sweetest revenge.
Yes agree the game is going downhill and now i play for my own achivement i set for myself.

You're right when you say that tank it's not cheat, but when I asked Nordeus about tanking, their answer was:
"- Yes, you can put your team to loose and tank, but you can't deliberately put your team to win or lose against specific opponents, because this way you are manipulating the league classification, and that it's not allowed since it's not "fair play".

So, go ahead...report them to Nordeus.

Wow, that's sound totally new to me, I was hopeless! Thanks, I will do that!

BTW, I also tried to be unfair and moved the game to 2:34 AM for the guy. He STILL ended up attending the game (like he cared despite his ranking position), but I still won 2-1 and it's enough for me to mathematically win the league.

In the league of my reserves (lv2, promote to lv3) there is a Turkish manager who is tanking, probably cause it's his reserves he keeps for associations.
The challenge for him was to play normally and win two teams who had the UK kit - lol
(I won him twice)

Hi,

It's a real rubbish, I've faced tons of such bad tankers and lost many leagues due to their unloyal management

They allowed dogs and pigs to win easily,but as they realized I did not have a so poor team and I might be concurring for the league,
they arose vs me, as your opponent did vs you.

If you're lucky to face them in earliest matchdays you may have a chance to get away from them....


About me,the worst was that I was not the top team in my league,so every team took advantage from them,apart from me.
I wonder how they could analize me to decide such a strategy,as I had never faced them before (maybe, they were friends
with my opponents)

If anyone wants to tank,he should just insert a regular lower team (2 stars or lesser),so to grant league regularity,of course weaker teams
won't uplevel.
So,young players might be trained and valorized during the season,rather than wasting time in entering a crowd of players down flanks , placed in one line or fewer space.

If I've the feeling this is happening again in the future, I'll report it

Se ti dice bene,li affronti nelle prime giornate e puoi farla franca.....

Quanto a me,il peggio era che non avevo neanche la squadra più forte del girone,cmq ogni squadra aveva vantaggi a parte me.

A chiunque voglia assurgere al ruolo di boicottatore,basterebbe semplicemente inserire una normale squadra di basso profilo (2 stelle o anche di meno),così da garantire la regolarità del campionato ,naturalmente le squadre più deboli sono destinate a non vincere.

Così,si possono allenare e valorizzare i giocatori più giovani durante la stagione,piuttosto che perdere tempo a buttare in campo
una mischia di giocatori schierati sulle fasce, su una sola linea o ammassati in pochissimo spazio.

Level 47...never tanked once, never will, whats the point? real test is to get top 4 every season...have done so for the last 17 seasons, winning the title 10 times

I tanked only once, a year ago or something, for educational reasons =] And when I was tanking, I played in full force against all active (and strongest) teams of the League, there were just two or three of them. What's wrong about that? I didn't deliberately support one of them, I was equally against all of them. But against zombie-teams I tanked.
I see nothing unethical in this.

Total bull****, because if you are tanking you are losing points on purpose, except for the fact that you are giving points just to some teams you decide and your opponents don't know which ones. Not counting it is also a bait, because they see you playing bad formations, and maybe they can also forget to follow the game thinking it will be an easy 10-0 or make their reserves to play, while instead you give'em hell just because you think it's ok.
Not ethical, not fair and you just act like a loose cannon.

Almost every season i got these . Usually those dormant tankers will wake up and raise their only game against the leader of the league. Especially if you are on a good unbeaten run or perhaps yet to be beaten. Perhaps jealousy just sets into them when they have similar quality team with LLLLLL and us with WWWWW.

Tanking is a miserable month and the only fun for them if can decide who won the league.

I didn't decide anything. They played against me exactly in the same manner they would play if I wasn't tanking. I played against all active and strong teams equally, no favourites. All who wanted to win the League, had to play against me.

I can understand your disappointment. But I think you are wrong !

For sure this is lot of manages that would like to destroy or destabilize best teams, by tanking weaker ones.

Can you please check a crucial thing ? Those 2 tanking teams that play the best way only versus your team... can you check if they played during week matches... or week-end matches ?

In fact, I think their teams were ready to fight Association matches and you had no chances to fight them also on week-end ! So they didn't want to manage multiple management each week-end each day

I think they should put all effort to stop people from tanking.

Because its ruining the fun of the games.

They tanked to inflated their star players which is wrong in any way. Not fair to other managers who plays decent. Its just not fair and ruining the games.

So, it happened again. The last of the ranking just smashed me 5-1 and changed formation back for tanking. I reported to Nordeus, they said thanks and closed the ticket. Nothing happened.
It is clear that everyone makes it just for the lulz, because tomorrow he will face the 4th team, which is behind me but he will field an illegal formation. He just wanted to help him and **** with me.

Some people think they can spend 50 euro a month and manage their own personal Barcelona. Others like making those ppl feel the shame of defeat.
The real problem is ppl that sell off their entire team at the end of the season. It should delete the club. Or cause some sort of sponsorship penalty.

Anyone notice its the guys that boast their trophy record at the bottom of each message that do a lot of the whining in here ? Seriously guys if you were as good as you think you are then you will overcome those that tank most of the time. The fact that your whining about it says you arent as good as you think you are.
More seriously though is tanking that much of a problem in the game ? If I am flying high in the league and a bottom team beats me then I look for reasons why my team didnt perform and learn from the experience. I dont go accusing the other guy of tanking or cheating because thats just a cop out. What has happened is you get beaten by the better team on the day and your real concern should be you didnt scout the other team effectively and just saw a team near the bottom of the ladder and thought you would just steamroll them. Its called complacency and it happens to everyone from Real Madrid to you if you let it.
Grow up a bit , accept responsibility and move on.

i think nothing is wrong to loose or to win a match with our own player that we bought by our own money/effort and by our own formation or tactic,

in my country league, there is a club that always lost a match and suddently won a match against league leader, is it wrong? is that club should be punished? and actually that club even got good sponsorship after beating the league leader.. haha
