20% Ball position

Hello. today i played my first league game that has to be finished 5-0 or even more.
but at the beggining of the game i sudenly saw that the other team has 80% ball position and done with score of 1-1

they werent tired or sad. all stand in right position that belong to them.

While there are many possible formations in Top 11, not all of them are valid. This is what it's commonly refered as "illegal formations". The exact rules and consequences aren't publicly known, but it's generally accepted that if your formation is illegal, you'll be penalised with a heavy loss of ball possession. And while it's possible to win with one of said formations, it's not a common occurance.

In order for a formation to be legal it must have:

-At least 3 defenders.
-At least 1 striker.
-At least a player in each flank.
-A goalkeeper.

Like technotronic said, if you don't have at least 3 def and 1 player on each flank you will lose possesion till 20%.

Thanks I was actually planning on playing a 4-6-0 formation as an "experiment" But now since its "illegal" its pointless actually attempting playing 4-6-0.

lol, you need 1 striker, so playing 4-6-0 would result in 20% possession which would most likely end up in a lot of defeats.
