I started Top Eleven a while ago, but abandoned my account.

Recently I came back, and my team won the league. Now, I'm starting a new season, and all my players lose a star. Furthermore, all the players on the transfer market seem to cost a lot more than usual. Should I buy right now or should I wait a while? What is the benefit of buying players earlier in the season rather than later?
