Out of interest do you lose condition points for playing a friendly in between competitive games? I’m looking to try out new formations ahead of big games but don’t want to lose condition points.

If you arrange-(home team)-yes, you lose conditions. If your friend arrange, you are away (guest) team then not lose.

Gaining skill points also depends on whether you arranged the game (you are home team) or your friend did (you are away team). Home team gains skill points, away team doesn't. So getting your friend to schedule will give you an opportunity to try a new formation at no loss of condition (but your friend will lose condition and gain skill).
