why sacking a retiring player costs so much?

this is just stupid. why would you have to pay his market value TO him when you fire him? you should only have to pay his salary

if you try to do this with a player who is not retiring, you will only have to pay his remaining salary...but you have to pay his salary + market value. Must be a bug

Yeah but you have to change his name to reflect his position so if he changes it to Roberto Carlos, he would be able to sell him.

you guys have waaayyy to much spare time...
Anyway, for some reason today I checked again and the sacking price went down to 350K which is still too high but I sacked him anyway...
be careful not to but player aged 32 and above, you can't know if they announced retirement until you buy them, and you CAN'T sell them....
