Force counter. I used to use it when the opponent had no DMC/DML/DMR.
It allows your opponent possession until they come into your half of the pitch.
So, when you want more possession, do not check this option.
If your gameplan requires the opponent to come into your half at which point, you press, then by all means, you should choose this.
It is best used when playing a defensive counter attack game, where you will probably want long passing as well to get the ball up to your strikers fast.
