    Where Do I Go From Here?

    Since Borussia Dortmund 2.0 has been a complete fail to me, it seems as though I have to start my team over from scratch. No tokens left and stuck with completely rubbish players due to my inability to buy players. And to think this game was going to be eazy. xD

    I'm guessing I'm not the only one that failed misurably to win a CL or Cup their first few seasons in the game. I think from now on I'll just lay off bidding for players and let my training camp pick up some young guys.

    Let me know of your guys first experience.

    I've been in enough situations where I've saved up tokens until I had like 20 or so, then thinking "Man, this is a great time to get shiny new players." And then I fail at buying anything at the auctions...

    I even tried my colleague's strategy to wake up at like 4AM and bid then and I failed there, too.

    So... yea, I'm looking forward to what advice people put forward in this thread.

    I won the League when I first begun. Possibly one of the best performances of my management of my club.

    Came into charge with a mediocre team around halfway through a league season, and drew my first game, then got striker James Schofield on form winning my next five games, then mysteriously lost 2-1 at home against a bot team (nearly quit t11 for good because of that) and Schofield got injured and we were 5 points behind again with 6 games to go. Didn't have many tokens or $ and bidded 1T for a Eztebe Mendibe a 3*14 rated ST to replace Schofield while he was injured. With Fenton Morrow a 5* defender, a 4* swedish free-kick taker I can't remember his name and the Chilean Eztebe Mendibe we went onto win the last 6 games of league that season and won the title on the last day of the season with losing 2-0 early on with Mendibe (then 4*15) firing in a hatrick that lead us win the game 5-2 and we won the league by a single point that season.

    Amazing days of T11 and full of excitement seeing random names play football for you and I can't remember much about my starter squad or the first few signings I made etc, I'd love to have seen my starter squad (including Mendibe who I bought) I had at the end of Level 1 play another game just for show because it was wonderful times playing T11 with just an average team and winning the league with them.

    As far as the newbie cup was concerned, we were already KOed from that when I took charge of my team.

    You can abandon your team for the rest of the season.. Play an illegal formation and save up tokens and skill points. Your players won't lose a star at the end of the season and you can rebuild the following season.

    Downside is you won't get to play the Champions League... But you'll have a strong team for next season.

    If you can farm tokens by completing offers then you'll have tokens for the auctions. If you are on a server where bidding is very competitive then it will be very tough.

    League Winners (14) - Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
    26-0-0 league (4) - Levels 3, 4, 7 & 8
    Undefeated in league (11) - Levels 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14
    Cup winners (2) - Level 1 & 14
    Cup 3rd place (1) - Level 12
    Champions League Winners (10) - Levels 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
    Champions League Runners up(1) - Level 9

    That actually sounds like a great idea. I might do that if things in my league go tits up.     I find the early 2 levels of the game quite difficult to play in, simply because you don't have much $ to play with to sign any top 5* young players because they can be worth over a $1M each and thats a lot of money down in L1 and L2, and I always keep advising the newest players to T11 to sign older 5* players because they do not cost a lot of $ to buy and you can keep them for 2 seasons at least because most teams in the lower levels don't have much quality and you can save up your $ this way and also can save T by only bringing the right players at the right time. I always say levels like L3,L4,L5 are the easiest on the game because they are a lot of abandoned teams doing nothing thats creeped up 1 or 2 promotions after the managers have quit the game.

    Really? The first two levels for me I found to be quite easy. Well, in the sense I got runner up both seasons; ignoring the Cup and Champions League. Level 3 really screwed me over as half my squad retired and I had to make a scramble to sign players to fulfill their roles. Maybe I should have joined the forum earlier so I can pick up how hard it was to sign young players. Then I wouldn't have been so ambitious to make such a young squad. However, I've yet to seen a five star player yet in the game...

    Looking at your photos you have given us it looks like your on a new server that only has 3* players on the transfer market.

    Actually no. There are four star and, one in a millenium, five star players available.

    Your 1 level below the servers current highest level then, we can determine that type of transfer market behaviour by the forum league that we play in, where we determined that us all starting on L1, we were quickly able to work out that L2 was the highest level on the server.
