[Official] Top Assists Challenge - FULL-TIME!

Hi Managers,

As today as is the first day of the League campaign for Season 108, we've got a new event in store - the Top Assists Challenge.

The challenge lasts until the end of the season and only takes League assists into account. See below for the full rules, and good luck!

Top Assists Challenge Rules:

• Challenge applies to League matches for this current season only.
• The player with the most assists come the end of the League will be the Top Assists winner.
• You can track the leaderboards anytime via the League menu found in the Navigation bar.
• The skill boost reward will be given only to the player that becomes the Top Assists winner.
• In the event of a tie, all of the players in 1st position in the Top Assists leaderboard will receive the reward.
• Rewards can only be claimed once per team, even if you have more than one player sharing 1st position.

Hi guys,

Update here: for those of you who won the Top Scorer Challenge, you won't see the Top Assists Challenge until tomorrow, as this is still in the Claim rewards period.

Assists are being logged, so once you join the event tomorrow, you will still have any assists from today's first League match counted towards your totals for players.

Sorry for the confusion.

Watch the assists in my team suddenly become evenly spread out.

I wish this was in the last season I won top assists with my guy having 20 while the 2nd ones in League had 10. :D But I have good chances again of course.

Hi have you fixed so not 50% of all assists is missing? Otherwise it will be a ridiculous competition. Please answer that you have fixed it!!! Nick

Of course they didn’t fix anything. One of my teams won 10-0 today and only 3 assists were given. All to different players...

The challenge appeared first thing this morning and I joined. Then it disappeared and I still see the old scorer challenge as finished. No assist challenge?

I shouldn't have joined this challenge, now am scoring but no assists, the last top scorer challenge made my strikers stop scoring.

Before Last season my strikers always got top scorers 1&2/3 positions last season my top strikers for the first time were firing blanks and best one got number 5 position in the top striker

same for assists my winger get mor than any he assists and scores and takes corners hehehehe.

I ve gone two matches I see players scoring and no assists LMAO.

I'm barely scoring lol. Today I won 1 0 v a team 60% weaker. I had 80% possession. Weird. Seems my team need to lose a match or something to get its mojo back

After 2 matches the total number of goals in my league is 56 in 14 games. There is one single player with 2 assists and there are a couple of others with 1. Highly unrealistic.

Totally agree with. Only today I had three goals which never counted with assist while the same time it appeared in live match the icon of playmaker. It was always a straight pass leading to a shot. Let the kids of nordeus talking... There is a bug and they should fix it.

after 2 games 6-1 and 3-1 wins I have 2 players with joint top assists on 2 also in my league in 14 games so far there hasn't been a draw

Now am back to winning the goal king race as I always do and was robbed of it during the goal king challenge .
And this time am being robbed of my assist kingship.
What a joke .

Assists were never consistent enough to warrant this sort of challenge. Maybe the developers should have focused on actually fixing the assist mechanic to be more realistic before trying this sort of challenge. But, they always act before thinking about what would actually improve the game the most, so I am not surprised.

I think I largely ignored assists before. This challenge highlights they are poorly credited. So yes having a challenge linked to assists not good. Top scorer challenge should be permanent however.

This is big problem of this game. If you dont have something 100% fixed you can´t proceed the challange. :)
Its good idea but its not working i scored already in league most goals like 10-15 more than 2nd and 3rd team but i don´t have any playeer in top 5 assist but have 3 players in top 5 scorers. You should consider for the future to fix this problem as i scored in some matches 5-7 goals and have only 2 asssists as everyone is challanging here. :D

Here’s the reply I received from “support” when I complained about the fact that I have 33 goals in league matches and 3 or fewer assists:
We appreciate the feedback on assists too, although it is a bit of a complex issue. The match algorithm applies certain criteria when simulating an assist scenario that must be met in order to qualify the pass as an actual assist. In real football, this translates to given specific conditions, like a direct pass for example. Not quite sure how this is formulated in-game, but we can guarantee that any situations considered as assists will be accounted for. One thing worth noting is that even when observing an animated assist during a live match, the pass may not be considered an actual assist by the system, as there are certain algorithm calculations which the live match animation can not fully recreate. I'd suggest not overthinking this, as the best approach you can take here is, and always has been, to focus on your player's passing skills to achieve a higher assist rate. I hope this provides some insight into the matter!

Translated - We don't have a clue how this works. Best to spend lots of money on greens to train passing on our user friendly training system which will have no impact whatsoever.

Just score lots and hope 4 the best. It's random luck!

i'm not complaining, in half a season I have plenty of assisted goals and currently one of mine has double the next in our league :-)

yeah me too, 1 of the best source of assists, free kicks not so much as they're usually direct, although I did have 1 from by the corner flag the other day

I´m actually in assist fine. I have best striker this season by now and also best assist. :) He is forward who is good corner taker so he has 11 assist by today and 11 goals in 15 matches so totally best player of my team. i hope that he win it get attributes to passing and 15 tokens for me :) BTW I´m lvl 3 only and this guy have 175% passing :) 150% shooting and 111% scoring :) 132% heading and overal he is 101% - 21 years old so i will keep him minimum for 2-3 more seasons :)

A straight red card at the 5 min mark and a 2 match ban to the top assist player in my team. This is how 'dirty' this game is at times.

Looking good with two games to go.
