Giving Up This Season

Pretty much the nail in the coffin that last match. Since there was no chance I'll even get into the top 3 this season, I decided to quit and wait for next season to come and not get promoted. Already placed my reserves in and everything.

I've gotten a couple of suggestions from people in regards to what I should do and I'm taking their advice with ease. I swear I did not expect the game to kick my ass the way it did.

in fairness your league position is probably fair for the quality of your squad....

Here are the top 3 squads in my league which don't fare off from my usual starting team by much.

Why don't you just play it with a midfield instead of ams and sts :o

Dude, I don't think anyone is being too harsh - you got offended easily. There are some helpful pointers in those replies, even if they are a bit short

Your team is shy of quality at that level, perhaps a season of consolidation and earning a bit of cash and tokens would do you good? It seems you're not a token buyer, so don't expect to climb so quickly and don't worry too much - I'm sure you can come back stronger

You team indeed, like the other manager said before me, is not that strong comparing to the other teams in your league so if you were expecting to win every game, then I'm sorry to say but that was a bit of dream. You must consolidate your team, try to get a scout maybe 2 and then you have a legit chance of winning your league. Nobody is here to bash your team but to help you so take our comments in the constructive way and good luck!

Let me add this: in terms of scouts, if you can afford, you should get a GK and a ST. Also, you can try during low peak server activity to get some older guys for cheap and improve your team if you cannot afford scouts or get 18-19yo kids now and train them until the end of the season! Do not just wait for the season to end, it will be a waste of time! And if you get good players now, just make sure to play them out of position to make sure you don't win your game and you will not promote!

Don't give up! Consolidate and come back stronger next season!

Play Illegal Formation, just to make sure your team doesn't go on a mysterious miraculous run that gets you promoted.

have you tried 4-4-2 ND for this team?
you need more strikers though.

He can also change his formation and see what happen.
I would start by putting the best 11 "on the pitch".

Why u giving up so easily? I met a Thai team last season that list 6 games in the 1st half but came back strongly by winning all the games in the 2nd half except fir the last game which us a draw. I won the leaque from her by only 2 points.

Yes, looks like your goalie is itching to score. Put him as a striker. Hope he doesnt tear up the league though...

Ok, I'll go illegal formation then. I know there's a chance I can still make the Top 3 with a little bit of luck, but I'd rather start on a clean state then try to clean my mess up and try to go on a tear. I feel like trying to compete against the top 3 teams in THAT position will be a bit cumbersome. Plus I really want to save my tokens for next season. Maybe not for a scout player, but at least for a bunch of solid players I can build upon.

And I'm sorry, but when you say something about someone that can be taken offensive in one line and ending in "...", that just leaves a lot to be judged about.

your goal should probably be top 4 and not top 3 if you are not able to get any tokens from videos and $

do NOT use your reserves. Instead, put your best players out so they will receive training from the games.

BUT - in order to not take any points, make sure to put them in the wrong positions (for example, your striker as your goalie and vice versa). Then use tactics with no defenders so that the opposition will always get a clear run to the goal and 80-20 possession.

Just make sure you dont get too few points this season and get demoted

It's amazing that none of your top 3 teams have a single 5* player.. you will be dreaming of having such a weak league in the future.

They've yet to show up in auctions yet. I've only just seen a more abundance of four star players

But they could power train the players, buy scouts or buy through negotiation. I am not able to find any 5* players on auctions either and if it shows up, I know it will go for 30+ rounds..

You never know what might happen during a season

For me giving up is not an option:)

I saw that you only have 5 tokens. I also notice that you are in NJ. So, why aren't you taking advantage of watching videos for tokens? Just play the video in the background with the sound down while working on something else.
