High scoring centre backs

I have a DC who's in my squad for the 3rd season. First season he didn't score a single time though he wasn't that good as I had developed him to now be and often came in as a defensive sub. But now he has scored 11 goals in the past 1,5 seasons and also a few on association/challenge matches, which I don't know if you find impressive, but I do compared to the goalscoring tallies of my current other DC's (114/4, 149/6, 132/8, 135/4 etc.), and the former ones of whom none scored much. Almost all of his goals have come from corners, I've seen most of them and all except one were. I wonder if he can keep a rate like this.

The main question: Have you had high scoring defenders who maintain a 5-10 goal scoring rate throughout several seasons or do you think those are just random sprees?

Additional question with introduction if you're interested: My player has a 190% heading stat and aerial def ability (which I don't think affects attacking corners), but I have attacking players with similar heading who don't score close to as much from corners. There's been talk about internal quality of players that you can't see on the surface, so could there be internal variance on players that not only make them better or worse as a whole, but also affect the ability to perform single functions better or worse like scoring from corners?

Do u use him as PK or FK taker?

I think it comes and goes, maybe depending on balance of rest of squad, my left back 2 seasons ago chipped in with goals and assists, last season he didn't seem to get involved, but this season he started seeming more involved again. last season my 18 year old striker scored most goals in my team and 2nd in league whilst I trained him a free kick SA, this season he hasn't scored so much despite him now having the free kick SA and is improving his quality through training now which he wasn't last season.

He doesn't take any set pieces.

So my 2 defenders with aerial specialist also score more than the other defenders. My DC has 18 goals in 162 games, the other DMC with aerial specialist has only 13 goals in 213 games.

My other 3 defensive players are 2x defensive wall and 1 corner specialist. They are 3 in 76, 8 in 206 and 3 in 118. Tbh I think its quite random but maybe aerial defenders score a bit more, also from offensive corners... Also my one DC is not bad, 18 goals is a lot in that amount of games compared to my other defenders. :D

Edit: I have two more bench defenders: Freekick specialist (didn't take freekicks) is 7 in 90 and the other with defensive wall again is 11 in 135 (also not bad).

Might be that aerials score more but not sure. My previous high scoring defender was a DC who was a PK specialist who one season, 6 seasons ago I think, scored a lot of other goals too. I remember a CL semifinal where he took me to the final in the 2nd leg with a hat trick including only one PK goal.

Since making this post my DMC who doesn't even feature that frequently anymore has been my surprise goal machine. 14/6 this season, most goals coming in the recent games. Prior to this season 193/10.

These are my defenders stats:

9 goals in 40 games - DL
4 goals in 40 games - DC (1)
4 goals in 40 games - DC (2)
4 goals in 40 games - DC (3)
7 goals in 37 games - DR

So yea all together this season I noticed an improvement comparing with the last season for my defenders but nothing special, I think these are pretty decent stats.
