I have a DC who's in my squad for the 3rd season. First season he didn't score a single time though he wasn't that good as I had developed him to now be and often came in as a defensive sub. But now he has scored 11 goals in the past 1,5 seasons and also a few on association/challenge matches, which I don't know if you find impressive, but I do compared to the goalscoring tallies of my current other DC's (114/4, 149/6, 132/8, 135/4 etc.), and the former ones of whom none scored much. Almost all of his goals have come from corners, I've seen most of them and all except one were. I wonder if he can keep a rate like this.
The main question: Have you had high scoring defenders who maintain a 5-10 goal scoring rate throughout several seasons or do you think those are just random sprees?
Additional question with introduction if you're interested: My player has a 190% heading stat and aerial def ability (which I don't think affects attacking corners), but I have attacking players with similar heading who don't score close to as much from corners. There's been talk about internal quality of players that you can't see on the surface, so could there be internal variance on players that not only make them better or worse as a whole, but also affect the ability to perform single functions better or worse like scoring from corners?
