Fail not to promote to platinum division

Me and some other guys from the Greek forum have an asso group playing in Gold 1.
Our points were close to promote to platinum.
It's not the first time, we did that 3-4 more times but we cannot stand there as we don't have any mutant players and don't use any tricks like manipulations.
So instead of promote and demote the next season, I wrote to my mates to set weak or illegal teams so not to promote in the final today.
Two guys noticed that but the other three didn't (as the games today, Friday, were in working time).


So three of us won the 1st round and me and other two lost easily.



In the 2nd round I saw with a big surprise in the results that I had a draw (I didn't watch the games, I just had my weakest players but in legal formation).
How can I explain this



The score is 19-16 instead of 18-18 and worst g.d.


Now we are in the finals (because tomorrow we 'll have extra 50 or 25 points) and it's gonna be another boring season in platinum

Sometimes the game engine made possible the impossible, too much randomness. Like Khris said time ago they must do something about the "beatability margin".
Today i saw a friend cl final where his oppo played with 10 DC's ( i'm not joking ) and the match ended to penaltys, fortunately my friend won at the end but lol

for me in many asso games it's the roulette system.
Red in one game, black in the 2nd leg.
Just like that.

Usually that is the case, but not always.

I've seen groups that go Gold 1 - Platinum - Gold 1 - Gold 2

It's unlikely consecutive relegations will happen. But if a group is "Gold 1/platinum borderline caliber" based upon ability, and in platinum just gets served with elite competition in multiple tournaments the danger of returning to Gold 1 in the 1000 or below point range could be cause for concern.

yeah, i still don't get how associations work... you want to stay in gold 1 and instead you promote to platinum even if you put reserves in, on the other hand i want to stay to platinum and the server don't let me. we were leading 12-6 after first round, then we lost all matches in second round and we lost even if we were all online. all we needed was to play the final. this game is doing all those **** by purpose, i swear...

I think that the game engine is fully destroyed after recently updates and formation, orders and team quality don't mean anything.

Exactly, that is happening. We earn 100 tokens tomorrow but gonna play with 1350 -20%= 108 so gonna relegate again and get nothing.
Meanwhile we 're gonna play vs teams with mutants or semi-mutants with no interest, finishing 3rd or 4th and not winning packs too.
Games in Gold 1 are interesting even with that troll machine.
Gold 1 anyway is the most interesting division as the lower are easy and the platinum is almost impossible for "simple" teams.
