Won Cup (new format) last season and i'm on the final, proably going to win, again.
You can exploit the new cup format, easy as ****, not kidding.
IMO CL is the hardest to win, at least one crazy guy with a team full of 6* and 7* in my competition so far.
The guys who beat me in the cups have gotten to the finals, one has won a cup.
I've won the cup on level 1 (the beginners cup) and got to quarter finals on seasons 3 (lvl 6 cup)-4 (lvl 7 cup), its really hard to get past that.

I think 3rd place in season 4 is enough. And i can't compete on 3 fronts, i always get disqualifed from one, and it's Champions League. And I am not token buyer, and i can't buy more than 4 players per season on auctions because a lot of Asian's are on my server and it's hard to go in bid wars with them. Next season i will go for Champions League trophy
I guess you have got a good trophy room saying that your not a token buyer. The Cup is definately a non-token buyers competition to win if your on a older server and not amongst the highest ranked teams on the server.I think 3rd place in season 4 is enough. Yea, i agree with you. I don't know on what server I am. But i will go for Champions league trophy next season. I'll just disqualify myself from Cup competition in round 1 and then focus on CL
