Dribbler special ability and height/weight importance

    Hello,

I'm just interested, if I have a player that has dribbling as his special ability and compatible positions MC, DMC and DC, does his dribbling ability "work" on DMC and DC positions or just on MC?

One more thing, does height/weight/preferable foot affect the game in any way or is it there just as cosmetic?
I'm level 40 and I've always wondered if that matters lol...

Dribbling is a special atribute for MC but as a special ability it is totally worthless. I have no players with special abilities, I simply train my players all white skills to a very high %. My striker is no freekick specialist but scores 9 out of 10 because his shooting skills are 200%.
Height, weight, curly hair or bald headed and all that other crap are just cosmetic too imo

I have noticed through my years that if you do not have any tall players or aerial defenders in your defense, your team gives up more goals on corners. Aside from that I don't know that there is any major effect.

I have never seen my right-footed freekick specialist scoring a curve ball from a direct free kick from the right side of the field. These free kicks are typically taken with the left foot. So if the player is not left footed, he will not score like that. This is the only part of the game where the preferable foot matters imo. Since I discovered this, I only train free kick ability for a player who is both left and right footed.

Has anyone seen the same while watching the games? Or the opposite?

I'm with Ritchie on this. I think SA are a waste of time. I never train them and prefer to concentrate on the White skills.

Are your players performing good? Do you get good results?
i also think that having an Extra star or more specifically a white attribute is better than having a SA.
But the thing is all the good teams that i have seen all of them have a SA on each player. All the top 100 association teams also have SA on each player.
i don't want conform with what others do. You seem to be a very old player of TE and moderator too so can you please guide for choosing one thing among-est SA or extra star or a specific attribute(like shooting/strength)?

I agree. A single aerial defender makes a difference during corners.

No one can be sure if SA is good or is not good,i remember i lost a match 1-0, the goal was scored from a ck and i had 4 players with aerial defender SA..that thing that sometimes different SA is blinking has no importance to me,let's not forget that we are watching a simulation, like sometimes, if we watch a match from 2 different devices, when a goal is scored on one device is showing that the goal was scored from a ck and on the other is showing that the goal was scored from normal play.
I also belive that SA are just cosmetic.
