Full squad, new player?

Hi, not sure if this question has been answered elsewhere, but this just happened.

I thought we were allowed a maximum squad size of 22?
I just lost an auction to a player who already had 22 players in his squad (according to the squad when I checked who I was bidding against). So what happens now?

He has to sell one player to be able to sign the new guy up.
If he don't do that, his new player will be transfer-free on the auction after seven days

How long do you get to sell (or sack) a player?
I sacked a player before the auction to make sure I had room in my squad, if I'd known I could do it afterwards I wouldn't have worried.

Whe your player hasn't sold after his aution is over, just put him on the auction again and again, till he is sold.......If you do this, I guess that it wouldn't take more than 1 day
Or you can also lower his price, but keep selling him

I think you've answered the wrong question.
He signed a player, when he already had a full squad.
You said he has to sell a player now, so my question is how long does he get before the new player goes back to the auction?
