Very good post, kelpie grant. I agree with you, except for one thing:

No manager will part with tokens for a player that will almost immediately be reduced in value by 20%

I mean, doesn’t the 20% quality loss between seasons apply to all players? So why would it be worse if a player that you bought through negotiation lost 20% than if any other player lost 20%?
