Age is irrelevant when it comes to scoring/assisting.. only helps with player development.
It might be the formation you're playing because my midfielders hardly score as well. Or it could be that your player is an utter failure like a few of mine and cannot score if their lives depended on it
maybe your midfield is not feeding him properly. Sounds like you have Torres on Chelsea instead of Torres on Liverpool.
I have a 5 star ST and he has the most assists in my league and is in the top 5 for goals, so I dont care as long as he assists or scores = he does his job.
Just see what he does next season and do what the others say to do...renew his contract??? really. Dont ask me why.
Idk whats with this player..I play him in the right position but the funny thing is, he's scored in all my important matches..Like against stronger teams. really weird.

Same with my CB I got at the beginning of the season from my youth academy. Every game I played with him his match rating is a 4, 6, or mostly 5. Guess that's just back luck or something.

I think there is confusion as to what the 'playmaker' SA does - from what I can tell, it means a deeper lying ball player (think Xavi, Pirlo, Carrick instead of Mata, Silva). That's why you often find DC/DMC with that abilityQuote:
