He was dominating the game for some reason... The butterfly not doing it's job against his 3-5-2 flat. Shots were 11-4 to him at one point and then after I changed formation to the 4-5-1v and he was down to 10 men, I got it back to 16-15... so maybe 4-5-1 v for the home leg. Opponents were watching and had a friend so he had 7% possession to start with. I need this kind of advantage at home so I may set the match late at night to ensure he doesn't watch

Yeah If you watch + he watches with a friend support for the second leg, It will only give you +3% for home advantage, that could result in a very tough second leg again. It's never easy when your playing against the possession wind.

I'm rescheduling the match to late in the night so I can get an advantage, it's sly tactics but I must.

Coincidentally, his league match is 20 mins before mine so I can't change it until 15 mins after my match so I'll be affected too.

I'd say the best time for kick-off will depend on how well you can manage your players fitness/morales without using too many boosters for it.

I set it for 3:30am, which would be 4:30am his time.

So a bit later for him instead of 2:30am his time... Which me might turn up for. Either way, I hope this was a good choice

There are some active managers that will turn up to watch a game whatever time the game is due to kick-off... myself included. Sometimes you just can't help that. I've got a iPhone to watch the game at whatever time during night or day if I'm not on my laptop.
