My best player yet - A retirement age problem

Let me present you my best player yet, Heliut Centeno:



This is his 8th season at the club, and so far he's performed admirably.

His individual records:

League Top Scorer: 7 times (consecutive)
League Most Assists: 7 times (consecutive)
League Best Rated: 7 times (consecutive)

UCL Top Scorer: 1
UCL Most Assists: 1
UCL Best Rated: 1

Cup Top Scorer: 2
Cup Most Assists: 2
Cup Best Rated: 1

Super League Most Assists: 1
Super League Best Rated: 1

That is an impressive 31 individual trophies, and I am sure he'll grab a few more in this last season, he's first in 3 categories atm.

Moreover, at club level he is:
All time scorer: 348 goals
All time assister: 226 assists
All time MOM winner: 152 times MOM
Most goals in a season and league season
Most assists in a season and league season
Most MOM won in a season and league season
Most seasons as club captain.

With the team: 10 Leagues consecutively, 2 Cups and 4 lost finals (2 UCL, 1 Cup and 1 SL)

Now the question:

Why the early retirement age in Top Eleven? Most players retire 32, 33 years old. This doesn't have much logic in real life.
Why not implement a contract extension option that would "convince" retiring legends to keep playing?

I know he is 3 stars now, but with the output he has, I would still play him for another 2 seasons easily, at least in easy games or as substitute, for fun.

Here are the skills, nothing fancy, but he did benefit a lot from all the MOM extra boost and especially the Top Scorer Challenge +30% Finishing Attribute

I have suggested this to the Devs many times. You get the usual “one more season” but after that he’s gone forever. It would be nice to add contract extensions for up to 36 years of age and 40yo for a GK. Even if it cost a few tokens to buy the extension. Such a shame it has not been taken up because it’s guaranteed tokens for Nordeus.

Yes, you are right, that would be the best approach, both for the us and Nordeus.
It is true not many users keep the players for sentimental value or their hidden quality - I mean by that players that despite their lower skills and star quality, perform exceptionally. Many of the managers just go for a new, higher avg player, so tokens are spend regardless.
But there are quite a few of these retirement rules requests already and I don't see it as something that hard to implement.

Nordeus devs don't care about creating an immersive experience for managers. They want players to have to go to the auction market constantly. It's part of why Negotiations were mostly eliminated as well. It's all very on-brand.

Weird stuff:

The season is over, the player is still here.

Once again he won the League goalscorer and best rated trophies, both for the 8th consecutive time, also the cup's most assists trophy.

His status is now: Player to retire this season.

Though competition, but let's see how he will perform with only 3 stars

Well, even weirder:

After having the player for an unexpected extra season, I STILL HAVE HIM IN THE SQUAD:



He got decent stats for last season, but for this one, he so far doesn't score, but has 3 assists in 4 games.

Can't complain, I got the player for two more seasons then initially expected and he is now above 400 goals for the team
