Professional tankers do not train their players and do not want their players to change their skills (because the have very high whites and very low greys).
So if those players not gain from training or games, that would be a gift for them.
A manager who 'll stay one season to improve 1* his players, is a small fish.

For me that's just a bad update!
I watch it now over the time I got it.
Here my report :

For 2 days it looked like it would settle down. Fewer players crashed in morale. From time to time a defender or
the top scorer raise in the moral.
It fell down only 5 to 6 players in the moral. But after a few days, even though I have lost only 2 games so far, a draw
and other matches I won without conceding, it is as bad as at the beginning.

- The goalkeeper falls every time in the moral even though he has not allowed a goal against him (nonsense).
- Attack and midfield moan constantly because of not enough playing time (too crassly set)
to prevent this I must always play with the same 11 men. (For me nonsense and goal missed).
- A substitute who runs up in the 46th minute, scored 2 goals and a template ....falls in the morale. (Nonsense).

I am now playing a rotation system so that the substitutes can play a full match which leads to it that now
also the regular players moan and fall in the moral.
Even if they had good marks in the first game and scored goals.
The only players who can handle the rotation without loss of morale are my defensive players who do not complain
against the deployment time, probably because they keep the zero in terms of goals conceded.

To top it all, in the night additional players randomly fall in the morale when the new day dawns on it as it was before.
(That should be removed)
On average, again fall 12 to 14 players in the moral after the 2 games a day.
Regardless of it if both games were won and high marks for the players.
Only the top scorer still holds his morale to perfect in the moment.

I don't have the new moral thing yet, but moral does not seem to have any noticeable effect in terms of performance or maybe it is random. For example, today I had a player with very poor moral [dark red] in the starting line-up for a match and he got the MOTM award. His moral changed from very poor to poor [dark red to red].

There are probably so many cosmetic things in this game that attempt to trick users to spend or buy that this game can be compared to a scam.

I can imagine the post match interview, looking miserable throughout the whole thing... "I guess man of the match is good. I don't know, I can't really be bothered. Excuse me, I'm just going to stand in this corner and have a little cry."

I don't have the new version with the -+ comments but for first time I 'm playing tomorrow the CL final and there isn't any need to boost the morale of my players.
In my basic team I have 12 players with superb, 5 players with very good and one, my sub GK with good.
I boost morale only before finals and usually have to upgrade to 6-7 players (with a double blue).

* I still cannot see any effect-connection of morale with performing.

I cannot see any effect to the negative at all. Team bonus is in my opinion purely cosmetic as well and I’m yet to see any noticeable change in morale other than it is going up or down according to results. I’ve had players on Red arrows turn in an 8 or 9 rating.
