I just got knocked out the Cup on penalties by a team 15% weaker than me after two 0-0 draws
Over the two legs I had 44 shots at goal, 18 on target and didn't score.

Guess you experienced this many times. Can tell from your tone. It’s like “Yeah, I have been here before”.
After 19 full Seasons, I personally have been eliminated from 2 draws (either via away goals or penalties) around 4 to 5 times. Still disappointing when it happens

yeh, raging at the time, but you can't win them all haha
In the first round it was the same, opponent slightly weaker, I dominated possession and shots, but only scraped through after winning 2-1 away and lost 1-0 at home
had a feeling this Cup run was not going to last long

Yeh, you can tell when the system wants you out. A few seasons back, i saw all the good teams on my side. While on the other side had all the weaker teams. so whoever from my side made it to the finals would surely win. And yes, i did not make it and someone from my side won as expected. Too obvious or really arse luck
