[Official] The King of Kings Challenge - FULL TIME!

Each match I've had today has been closer in score than from the first day. In most cases I am using the same formation and orders - against the same opponent formations - but seeing very different results. I am wondering if the automatic defense bonus the defending teams are getting (since their managers cannot attend) is increasing each day. Alternatively, if you beat a team once the defensive bonus goes up. Either way, if true, day three is going to be tough.

Depending which theory is correct it should change the strategy for the managers though. If the defensive bonus simply increases each day then we should challenge as much as possible in day one. If the bonus only goes up against teams we beat then we should balance the days a bit more and not win 6 - 8 trophies on day one but more like 3-4 depending on what the next highest guy is doing.

Anyone else having tougher KOK matches today?

Yes, I did, and I already asked about that here when I experienced it in the first second step of the first phase. It seems that the orders to beat the same teams changed too, at least the starting orders as they also change as the match progress.

season long event is boring as hell :(

It going very hard here as 2nd team kept putting pressure, and he even tried to beat my team once but he lost, while I beat him on the 2nd try.

Yes, but not much. I still won all matches. 1st day, I played 9 matches with a goal difference of 49 and today I played 8 matches with a goal difference of 38.

Update
My team finished first but the opponent at 2nd place did try again in the last minutes but he lost. This was really tight with my team on 9 cups and his 8 cups. He was not polite this time. ;)

I am feeling exhausted with only 1 team here and he is playing with 4. ;)

Me too, I play only my main team, no time for other things like work and family

It may be a good idea if winning a trophy gets you 2-5 tokens reward. Yes, per match. Because right now not everyone that started this stage two are still playing. Some winners already know themselves. I have calculated my trophies and no way any contestant can snatch my 40T. So, no zeal to continue but I would for something beyond 1 green and blue bar, and am sure weaker teams will be encouraged to fight till the end, troubling bigger ones, who will have to keep recovering trophies till the end as well, but that's only possible if those other teams have something to take home even if they don't win the best prizes.

This Nordeus attitude of winner takes it all doesn't seem to encourage enough participation as such events can gather.

They should have given more rewards to those that participated but ended 4th and 5th; rewards for top 3 only seems unfair. On my side, the others been playing here, and it is somewhat sad to see 4th and 5th getting nothing besides the packs they earned in playing those matches.

I agree with you. The only reward I see there is for 1st position, the remainder is laughable, a manager can get that from negtiations if they care to.

I totally agree, i've said that on the last tournament and it oontinues to be proven, managers with little time avalability don't show up...

Nevertheless its wrong since playing one game can grant you 1 green pack and at least a blue one... those side prizes have to be acounted for since you get the chance to play without spending energy.

since every event last more and more and rewards dont follow time and effort players invest in it, think some kind of daily fortune wheel will be interesting, beside the ranking, only requirement will be 5 matches per day.

And player as reward should be given first day of next season, seems unfair to play long event and main prize value drops in 3 days

I am not spending any more of my tokens in King of kings. It made me waste about 15 tokens so far, I always lose on penalty shootouts on this game.

And we are stuck in 3rd today.

The buy ins are too expensive it should just be 2 for re enters against teams it should not go up to 4 then 6 and so on that is a rip off.


We can complain about certain losses we get because I can just never win any game where I dominate and my striker who scored 53 goals this season’s has now got a 6.4 rating and in the king of kings got a crappy 5.4 rating.

Maybe your team or some of your players are going through a bad period. The game seems to make certain players or sometimes almost the full team to follow cycles of up and down the hill in terms of form. You need be more careful when it is going downhill or it is still down.

But crazy people still exist in my round a guy spendt tokens to win the 9 games in a row, with absolutly no chance of going for the 40T...

Mistakes can happen but some users might do it on purpose too while others might just play for fun with no care about tokens.

I totally agree with this. I became third by goal difference on the first day, and I tried to pass the 2nd to some extent but extra 5 tokens in the end does’n really worth the effort (r tokens to get revenge etc). So last day, I just played enough matches so that by a slight chance the fourth would not attempt to steal my ticket to phase 3. I didn’t bother to challenge the first two teams.

The 2nd round was so tough. There were 4 of us competing all through the 3 days. There were 7 of us between 100 to 125, and one was 128. Out of them 5 were very active, me at 115, another at 118, one at 125, one at 119, and another at 113.

The 119 guy topped the group. I came a close second with 1 trophy less. (He defeated me thrice, me twice). The 125 guy came fourth, that was cause he was very inactive on day 1, with just 4 trophies. Or maybe he had a bad day.

Made it to the Final as #2 in the group...

So the Final starts saturday... anyone knows How long... hope that I got equal teams in the Final..... its going to be tough

NIK with 113-114% had some good games with the other two (111%, 109%)
PANIK with 102% q had 4 opponents little stronger. Galatasary (the 2nd) made twice the mistake to play and win me earlier, but I got successfully revenge few secs before the end of the day.
RINOKEROS my tanker with 125% had q difference from 20% to 50% from the other teams so it was a walk in the park
ELEN with 88% gave very tough matches vs some +100% q teams. The first was a tanker with 125%.
Don't understand the logic of those draws.
I don't sleep much during the working days, wake up at 06.00, played the first game, then the training for the 4X10% and then the rest of the games till midnight.
I could make some mini-breaks during my working hours (;) ) so could play 9-10 games for free.
So I didn't spend more than 10 tokens for replay, for all my teams from the beginning of the event.

I have had 2 very tough draws with a few 20% stronger teams, I actually got to the final phase more comfortably than expected in second place.


I hope I get an equal and fair draw this time.

Thanks for the resume. My main team (125%) was in a league of 8 teams from 70-95% and 1 team of 120%. It's was easy for me as I win all 26 matches. But my 2nd team (80%) was the weakest team, these others were from 90% to 110%. I didn't bother play a single game.

:D made it to the finals with 9-9-8, 13T + the 40T and didn't have to spend one single token, my oponent played a lor of games in a row guess he should have had deficit but his pockets seem to be deeper than mine :D

Hope I can stand a chance in the finals this stage was resonably balanced

I spent 2T each day, 6 in total. There was always one team that surprisingly beat me every day.

In my opinion, it is innappropriate to put that on Saturday and Sunday given the more loaded schedules due to association games. Also, instead of being done in consecutive days, the steps could have been done every other day or so. I think phase 2 was too demanding by requiring to play 9 matches every day for 3 consecutive days.

No it is starting on Friday, today it says starts tomorrow so for me since I am in a different time zone, the finals will start for me at 7:05PM GMT.

I am in Ireland so we are in the Western Hemisphere so we will get the challenge a day early:
