Lunar New Year challenge - roll the dice!

My advice, use your free entries in the Lunar New Year challenge and then leave it well alone!

Teams are evenly matched (from what I can tell), so you're going to have tough matches right from the start. I quite like that, but the problem is you have no idea who you're going to get so you have no opportunity to set your team up accordingly. End result, you're going to lose as many as you win, so spending anything on it seems like a bad idea.

Seems to be a lot of red cards and injuries too, but that may just be me.

Teams with mutants may fair better, would be interesting to know.

At the end, the noredus roulette bank will be the winner :o

For some nothing is ever right but this seems a fair tournemeat as so for each active player to win another has to loose its life!

is this event against real managers ?

you don't get green for subs either what a rip off

i've never seen a complete and utter nonsense "REAL" SORRY NO this is fake and scripted games, played 4 matches so far and i have never seen oppo teams play so well even GK are saving shots ????!!!! :mad::mad:

These events are no fun. King of the Hill was a good idea but even that is becoming boring now. I only ever use the free entries and that's it. Now you don't even get boosters anymore from participating in such events. No reason for me to spend my token on gambling matches vs similar opponent who I can't know how they are playing before the game starts.

This event is wank. I lost once on Merit, but the 2nd one is pure dog****. Wtf
Conceded 2 counter attacks while playing defensive, couldn t substitute my player, even tho the game showed I did made a substitute, but my DC was still on the field.
I am getting outpossesed by a guy who wouldn't win once in 10 games if it weren t for this BS scripted event
My 146 rating 200 finishing player missing a penalty while his 120 140 finishing gets MOTM.
Scripted crap.

Yes, against real managers

My first attempt i got till the first check point and lost to a guy who had 2 one percent players in the lineup. He subbed in his 2 best players when the match started.

I dont know if his strategy worked but i lost anyway :(

Sillybq neve thought of that, it could be a strategy or not because usually the team strenght is calculated by the best players and not for the lineup.

Once the game strated was the team similar to yours?

I like this event it seems fair but not many managers will win of course, since we are playing against each other.

People complain about not beeing able to conter the oponnet tactic but that is also true to the opoonet, and you can really do that in the beggining of the game or making some substitutions ;)

As allways people are never happy with the events...

The only thing that displeaseas me is as Ryan said the games not delevering boosters, and the prizes still are kind of weak, so i'm aligned with the ones that are only using the free trials!

I have no complains because events are something extra and we don’t need to spend anything. I am happy. I mean i got a free jersey!

The problem is i was not paying attention. It usually takes awhile to search for an opponent so i did something else real quick and i missed the quality screen. He did not beat me by a big margin. 3-1 final score so it looks like a normal scoreline. An equal team or a stronger team could do that to me. Anyway, gonna try it out on my next free attempt later. Just thought someone might be able to confirm if it works?

No, that strategy doesn't work.
I have a team near 120%, start with a -1* GK (and a 100% avg quality) and sub him asap but still my opponents are +-5% of my top quality.

Totally agree, I won 2/4 games, I won 4 tokens which is better than nothing so I am fine with that, got booted out to an even team which is fair enough but I lost to 67% shot efficiency, this is a roll of the dice event,

the logic of those events is to give a difficult challenge to the majority of TE players (and not the members of the forum which are experienced managers) so to spend extra tokens after loosing and try again.
That's why with very event we have some tokens offer. That's an extra income.
And a monthly extra bonus for the super tankers (who usually have mutants too).
I won the jersey prize, lost my free chances and stop here.

I saw a video showing it works so i spent the 19 tokens to get back and it didn't, i stated with 89% and got a 116% adversery

However gods were with me almost "died" in the game... Socores 1-0 with a penalty, one of my best players got a red card then, even tough i got to 3-0, at teh 86th minute he scores the 3-2, minute 90, me attacking... ufff i'm off the hook, NO counter attack, he's goind to draw...NO URRAY MY KEPPER GETS IT, send in the medics i don't feel very good... got the symbul let's see if later i get the 5-7* player :p

For every game that YOU lose, another manager wins and goes to the next round. Where did you see the fake and scripted games? You are not playing against a machine. Are the games only scripted and fake for you? Are they scripted because the GK does what it is supposed to do? Admit that there are better players than you out there that manage their teams better and beat you.

This event is easy. Especially if you have mutantinos vs. similar quality, opponents have no chance.
Another hint, its better to play in the morning as I was facing mostly asian players and they are not very experienced (lets say) so the results were like 5-1, 6-0 etc even with same quality.
Once I have lost when my natural developed mutantinos met another mutantinos 1-2 and that was it.
Overall, thank you for the tokens and the fact I didnt have to sub players pleased me too.
The 7 star player will be sold right before the end of season as its joke. He is 124% but weaker than my 92% star. So no gain there.
I would strongly recommend to play last day of the event as the best managers are already done with the event by the time.

No, this happens every time, yes I can accept when a team beats me but most of the time, I change the tactics and nothing works and they never change a thing, you call a team with a 66% quality better than mine, no they are not.

Played my 2nd free entry and am haven't lost yet, cant play anymore today as my team had to play cup semi and is now tired. I do agree that we should avoid playing at all times when europe is awake. Playing against all other continents is relatively easier.

Need to ask, what is the biggest quality difference we can get in this Event draw/search? I managed to get players around 10 percent weaker or stronger.

And the free player i got is the worst possible. How unlucky!

Being located in Western Europe, it is so difficult to have a time where no one in the world except for a few others are online since our time zone is +0, slap bang in the middle in Ireland and there is nothing I can do about it and only if I stay up really late which I would never do. You guys are lucky that you can have a time where you can be online when the rest of us are asleep.

Just paid 17 Token for a 18 yo DL, just to find out that he isn't a fast trainer.

Didn't think it was possible but now I feel bad to not have spent Token to play the event again... lol

I won the kit with the worst of my 5 teams I gave some games.
I do not mean only quality bad random, bad trained players.
I expected that round emblem with the ball but this one it's not so good.
The jersey is good.

To be fair, every player I win from those events turn out to be potatoes, even the 8 star player I got was useless and my 5 star player was way better.

Had very limited time so I could only play 2-3 matches and also not support. I won 2 matches easily and lost in the 3rd match for 1goal even the oppo had a red card. His players became aliens suddenly lol. Nevermind, will play with my 2nd free entry today and see how it goes

To win 8 even matches with 1 possible failure to just be given a 5* player, nevermind the age, is pretty stingy. Even a 22yo+ low 6* is not that attractive as it would be just some 12 days or less before season ends when the event started. 1-3T in auctions could get that same 5* player now, so it’s quite ironic that the 10T reward at stage 6 is actually worth a lot more to managers.

Well, I did win the emblem and lost at the next player reward match, so in a way not that happy to have lost and also not too disappointed (would be very disappointed to get a 5* considering the difficulty of winning so many even matches). A 6*-7* (around 80%/20%) player reward seems more balanced and at least reward the really good managers in this event.

In these events there is allways the luck factor included its indeed very diferent to gain a 5 or a 7* the overall prizes aren't indeed very atractive but it is fun :p

My main critic i make on this event is the fact that the games don't give boosters anymore, apart form than its one of my favourite events much funier than king of the hill

As usual, I paid nothing and won not much. Like the previous one. And the next. Rubbish.

i was wandering how many times i can lose this event before going balistic, answer is 3 with goal in last min regular time, 2 with goal in last attack in extra time and 5 times in penalties where i cant score to non skill goalie but mine penalty spec saved 1 of 24 shoots, than phone going to meet a wall and nordeus now owe me a smartphone :mad

He means that he was busy, so he could not play friendlies, yes he does play lots of friendlies and maybe 5 a day against my team sometimes although I don’t care.
