I was looking at a link someone posted in a thread here and it brought me to Nordeus support.
I started clicking on links that look very similar to the ones here with titles such as:
"Cup matches are unfair"
"To manny injuries!"
"Token Prizes..."
I realized that this small community in this forum is just that...small. I see at most 50 people regularly posting the same old, same old every day.
It seems to me that it would make more sense to post at Nordeus support since that is where most people go when they have serious issues or serious questions. But I digress....
My point is that there is another community over there with the same issues. It was refreshing, to say the least. People are very comfortable in this little "bubble" world in this forum and need to look at the other sources to see more people having issues with Nordeus, and in doing so, understand that these problems are more widespread than they are willing to admit.
I can sum it up here on this forum:
Tommy token says there is nothing wrong with the game except that the scout lists suck, and they dont win every game vs lol teams. Of course, some more level-headed Tommys understand the NGE and know they will only lose 1 in 10 games as long as they dont bottle it. When they do bottle it, they get mad, post like idiots with threads like: "What the hell!!!!!!"
Tommys only care about themselves and it shows: almost any improvement to the game to make it more fair will most likely reduce the chances that Tommys will dominate. This "elitist" attitude is what is causing Nordeus to drag their heels when it comes to improving the game because Nordeus knows who is paying their bills/expenses.
The Cup format is a prime example. Adding 1 star players to lower your overall quality in order to give you a better draw in the cup is just disgusting. It shows the hypocrisy and the depths that these poor sports will go to just to win a game where they already have the advantage. When a non-token buyer complains of the unfairness when meeting higher quality all the time, they tell this non-token buyer to stop complaining and to buy tokens or stop playing. Yet when Tommys face higher quality teams themselves, they try to cheat the system instead of buying more tokens.
Paying for tokens does not create an exclusive right to complain. Tommys have every advantage already, and most of them STILL find time to complain when they dont win every game. There will always be people who will be extreme Tommys and you cant stop that, because there are people that will do ANYTHING to win without earning it.
Nordeus is at fault for creating this problem. They are clearly only in this for the money and it shows. If they were smart about this, they would lower the cost for tokens and allow more people to improve their teams to compete. Nordeus is lacking someone with marketing knowledge, someone that understands what it takes to find balance and make more customers happy with its product. I see only greed on its part: keep the Tommys happy or we have to find real jobs to pay our vacations.
If you make the game better, more people will play and more people will pay. Lowering the cost of tokens will bring more equality. Lowering the frequency of injuries is a must. Unwanted friendlies, bugs and scheduling issues. All of these can be tweaked/fixed to make this game BETTER.
Nordeus, take the immediate hit in the decrease of people using tokens on injuries, rescheduling etc, and you will see over time that more people will play and be HAPPY. This will cause more people to play the game and KEEP playing the game and over time they will bring in even MORE money from tokens. If you want to make more money, you have to make more people happy with this game.
