Help needed

Hi fellow manager i have an upcoming cup match against a 10% weaker opponent playing 3 2 2 2 1
DC DC DL
DR DMC
MC MC
AMR AML
ST
Dr and DMC are in line hence the 2 after 3
we had similar stats from first leg but i lost 5-2 away to him playing 3 2 3 2 Defensive (DR DC DL, MC MC, AMR AMC AML, ST ST) during the match i changed to 3 1 3 3 Attacking (DR DC DL, MC, AMR AMC AML, ST ST ST) and i started to dominate more.
His two wingers (AML AMR) are too much better than all his other players ...and only one of my MCs is of same quality the rest of my team are a bit weaker.
I would like to overcome that deficit could someone help me with a counter formation and tactics please...would be much appreciated

his wingers are 7 star players while the next best in his team is 5 star
I have 1 7 star player (MC) and 8 6 star players
