Is there a limit to how many 'friends' you can have in game?

is there a limit to how many 'friends' you can have in game?
I have tried adding a few extra guys who are watching the same game as myself and it won't allow me to add them?
Maybe I need to thin out a few who do not support me?
I have 109 'friends' currently btw

In-game friends limit is 100. That includes invitations sent or received in the current season (unattended invitation will expire over season reset).

So we should always only keep those mutually support each other and leave a few spaces open to accept and try new ones.
